Lake Dumbleyoung in Western Australia. Holding the land speed record, Donald Campbell then broke another speed record over the surface of this inland lake. He was the fastest man on land and water but the lake later took his life.

Someone here told me it belongs to an artist named Alli and gave me a link to her Myspace but I haven’t been able to reach her and notify her…if you know her please let me know so I can give credit coz’ I lost the source!! No matter how many times I have been to the State Fair, some rides are as timeless as the Ferris Wheel. This is one such ride. Taken a few days ago, this image could have been taken back in the 1960s.

I LOVE that song. But all AC/DC awesomeness aside, this piece means a lot to me. I’m working on putting more meaning into my work. I hope this would turn out conceptual and aesthetically appealing at the same time. I used my hands as reference even though they were originally supposed to be male hands…or at least neutral…?...anyway, I have extremely childish, small hands so I was hard to “butch them up” hahaha. PLEASE Critique! PS> / (I’m thinking of flipping the image to have the hands on the left side of the screen…what do you guys think?)

My son is just getting into this sport and yesterday we went to a European championships near to where we live. Those guys are so fearless, its amazing. This was taken in Coney Island amusement park. The Wonder Wheel is a famous ride there. All this will soon be torn down to “build up a parking lot”, or build condominiums.

This shot cracks me up so much. She is sitting completely stil on the deck of her swingset. But if you just look at her expression, you would think she was riding a roller coaster.
