Black & White in Charcoal / High Resolution Photo / Has been Printed in Canvas / Prefer cards printed on Arondo Donax this looks really nice with a little selective coloring on the roses in an old fashioned tint effect of soft pinks
An old door with grunge sepia look.
Don’t we wish at the end of our life ,standing in front of the gloden gate door to stop running, fighting ,having pain ,struggled for life and just follow that beautiful path and disapear in that quiet light . /
On this world where the moon that fills the background should be causing utter turmoil, all is peaceful. / It just means we have to look and think with non-human minds as we stand on the threshold of tomorrow. We must remember out here is a totally new begining. AV http://www.redbubble.com/mybubble/activity/comments

Little remains of the old dugout cabin, except the door frame constructed of rough cedar posts, granite rock, and bricks. From a certain vantage (underneath a very large sage bush), one old cabin stands against the horizon as a jet passes over the sleepy village of Cherry Creek, NV. At our base; history and heritage a crumbling foundation; / To the casual observer, a few old relics of long ago life in a mining camp; / Above: technology and the future, passing by oblivious to this tiny, disappearing island. a little girl stands at the doorway of a teahouse in malacca as if entering the threshold of life.
I was photographing in an abandoned building when i saw what appeared to be a cloaked creature carrying his new bride across the threshold. After the initial hearth attack i assumed it was graffiti however it turned out to be where a fire had been lit. Very odd coincidence i thought.

The main doorway to the Palle Maala (or Palle Maluwa, the lower chamber) area of the Sri Dalada Maligawa or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This 16th century Buddhist Temple complex (now a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO) which houses a Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha is one of the most sacred places of veneration for Buddhists around the world. The Temple has sustained damage from multiple bombings in the past. Deadliest among them was a suicide attack carried out by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) on 25/01/1995. A bomb laden truck was detonated inside the temple premises causing significant damage to the Palle Maala area (claiming the lives of dozens of innocent civilians and injuring scores of others).
I’ve shot a lot of southwest doorways. The colors, the textures, and the contrasts combine to make this my personal favorite. The warmth and richness of the wood offset the coolness of the adobe nicely and the flowerpots add a nice welcoming touch. This is a 3-shot HDR. Pentax K20D, 1/60 @ F6.3, ISO 100, 200mm
Taken at Toronto’s Scarborough Bluffs, one of my fav spots for photography (I just love this old bridge). Actually, this fall image was taken in late September 2008, I often revisit this image to see what I can do to make it better. Applied several textures to enhance the fall colours and morning lighting. I often desaturate my textured images to give them an “old photo” look, but felt this one looked better as is. You be the judge. Thanks for viewing and your comments appreciated.
