2D Forever Believe it or not, this is a strange cross-breed of Street Fighter and Silent Hill… / I just started to draw this creature without much thought to my inspiration – then later on, playing Street Fighter 3, it hit me that it’s loosely based upon the putty-like character, Twelve.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD): a chronic mental disorder most commonly characterized by intrusive, repetitive thoughts resulting in compulsive behaviors and mental acts that the person feels driven to perform, according to rules that must be applied rigidly, aimed at preventing some imagined dreaded event. In severe cases, it affects a person’s ability to function in every day activities. The disorder is often debilitating to the sufferer’s quality of life. Trichotillomania: a compulsion to pull out one’s own hair.

oil on mahogany / 2, 5×3ft panels *Like any relationship one must compensate for the others weakness. 7 and 13 together create 20, which can be seen as two wholes (two tens). Thirteen is very often seen as an unlucky number and seven is viewed as lucky. This painting demonstrates the give and take of any relationship and reliance of another for perfection.

I haven’t posted any Silo photographs for days now… and there are only a few more in the series so here is no thirteen …...and it’s a long view of the Silo building set off by the ghostly rubbish bins in the carpark in the foreground. The roof next to the silo is on a massive building that is around five stories with attic space that has been for years a studio space for generations of local artists… / . /
