It may have been the hunger or the heat – or both; but it didn’t seem to matter how far we travelled across that scorched earth, the rain and the clouds seemed to travel in front of us. Featured on Redbubble Home Page on 2nd July 2009.

This is an image I shot at Seaside Beach on the Monterey Peninsula on June 12, 2008…...the land to the left is Monterey and Cannery Row…....I wish I had the story that goes with this cross, but unfortunately I do not…......I just know that I can’t visit Monterey without going to this spot and taking another photo…..some of you have seen this cross in my other images…... / / _____ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Sucking down a cold one in the Egyption desert. We thought we were in the middle of nowhere when we encountered this scene. No villages for miles, no clues as to how the boys got there. We approached these boys to find them uncovering an esky full of ice and 1/2 a dozen softdrinks -one of the few times where haggling over price was not performed.

This dried-up tree seemed to be stretching, yearning towards the water-laden heavens, desperate for a quenching rain shower. This photo was taken in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, at Jockeys Ridge Sand Dunes. It’s only a few minutes from where the first flight took off at Wright Memorial Park. Jockeys Ridge is a state park and also the practice location of a hang-gliding school. We saw several gliders on the ground that day, but nobody gliding. The sand was burning-hot and biting on our feet as we explored.

A summer rose to quench your thirst!
If you couldn’t tell I like bubbles and water… I was playing around with fizzy water the other day in a tiny cup and I got this weird effect with the water. The little portion in the corner blurred mysteriously or exploded. I thought it looked cool though. I placed blue metallic paper under the glass and used my sigma 105mm macro lens and flash. Enjoy!
