He stole the heart (the strongest one) / The one with wings that would have flown. He stole the heart (before it grew) / No note the harm deceit would do. He stole the heart (and sad to say) / Filleted its soul with fork and knife. He stole the heart (the one with wings) / But stronger souls can trump a King. Actual artwork is 12” x 12”. Mixed media mosaic, framed in 2” deep, distressed brown solid wood shadow box that can be opened. My work is hand-beaded by gluing each bead, jewel and embellishment one by one onto foam-core using tweezers and toothpicks. I love this kind of meditative labor. I use leather, brass and silver charms and hundreds of Czech and Japanese bugle beads.

by John WrightThis is the result of a collaboration with Jan Piller. Her bird, my candy… we replaced a nut with the candy. Even though this image was created, it does hit the truth pretty close to the mark. When I was young, my dad fed a Stellar’s jay raw sunflower seeds every day at work. The bird knew him and knew my dad had seeds, and would visit him as a matter of routine. One day I had lunch with him at work and offered the bird some food from my plate… the bird ignored the tiny scrap I offered, hopped right past my hand and selected a larger morsel for himself! Thief!

I don’t struggle. So what? He has broad shoulders and is strong enough to carry me. I am weak and he knows it well. I give in….(smile)

There is a thief on Flickr who has stolen images from members here on Redbubble. ccwri reported it in a comment to one of my friends so I went to the persons page and looked. I have found two images that I know I have seen and know the artist. I have sent bubble mails to them so they can take action against the person. I see several other images that I am sure I have seen before but do not remember who they belong to. Here is a LINK to the person’s page. They call them self flower_chick. The name she uses the name elena harris’ Photostream. She posted almost all of images in the last three months with many of them in November. She needs to be reported. Phillip Johnson has provide the LINK to report abuse to Flickr. Here is a LINK to a journal by ccwri for Copyright Infringement Forms
