this is how i started my drive home last sunday morning. / i left with the temps in west virigina at 22 degrees (F). / the elevationfor the state, averages in the 3300foot range and stays below 5000feet. / one of the two lane highways went just high enough to get a view over the mountains and into the fields below. so stopping on the highway to capture this was a must! / i shot this in SS priority, SS at 1/160, F-stop at 32, ISO of 400, and exposure compensation at +0.3, focal length of 47mm

In 1972 the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, (IUCN) placed the snow leopard on its Red List of Threatened Species as “Endangered,” the same classification given the panda and the tiger. / There are also 600-700 snow leopards in zoos around the world. There are numerous agencies working to conserve the snow leopard and its threatened mountain ecosystems. These include the Snow Leopard Trust, the Snow Leopard Conservancy and the Snow Leopard Network. These groups and numerous snow leopard range country governments, non-profits and donors from around the world recently worked together at the 10th International Snow Leopard Conference in Beijing. Woke to one of the thickest foggy mornings,,,we had a big storm during the night that gave us 36ml of lovely rain…after the fog cleared ..it eventually turned into a nice clear day!!!

white chalk and conte 9×11 Artagain paper (from a mixed colored packet) Very nice, great variety of colors btw! I’ve started a series on obesity. All my life I have been overweight and have always been self conscious of my body. Through drawing I’m learning things about my body and trying to overcome this negative feeling I get about my body and turn it into something more productive.
