Acrylic on canvas, 16”x20” / Sold, $1200 My work was featured in the Fine Arts Group / (Thanks everyone!) This is the third study painting I have created in a series of ancient Japanese graphic art works. This was inspired from the “Journey along the Passing Waves of the Shallow Rapids”. / Each piece I have done has been intense and rewarding. In 1972 the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, (IUCN) placed the snow leopard on its Red List of Threatened Species as “Endangered,” the same classification given the panda and the tiger. / There are also 600-700 snow leopards in zoos around the world. There are numerous agencies working to conserve the snow leopard and its threatened mountain ecosystems. These include the Snow Leopard Trust, the Snow Leopard Conservancy and the Snow Leopard Network. These groups and numerous snow leopard range country governments, non-profits and donors from around the world recently worked together at the 10th International Snow Leopard Conference in Beijing. Their focus on research, community programs in snow leopard regions and education programs are aimed at understanding the cat’s needs as well as the needs of the villagers and herder communities impacting snow leopards’ lives and habitat. / Bronx Zoo – November 2008 /

Woke to one of the thickest foggy mornings,,,we had a big storm during the night that gave us 36ml of lovely rain…after the fog cleared ..it eventually turned into a nice clear day!!!

this is how i started my drive home last sunday morning. / i left with the temps in west virigina at 22 degrees (F). / the elevationfor the state, averages in the 3300foot range and stays below 5000feet. / one of the two lane highways went just high enough to get a view over the mountains and into the fields below. so stopping on the highway to capture this was a must! / i shot this in SS priority, SS at 1/160, F-stop at 32, ISO of 400, and exposure compensation at +0.3, focal length of 47mm

The fragrant and vigorous climber of Wisteria has an old-fashioned charm to its romantic potency and will transforms any structure into something quite magical as it has here in the walled garden on the Forty Hall Estate in Enfield. Intense, thick clusters of lilac-blue flowers decorate its branches, filling the air with an intoxicating perfume. I felt quite drunk just standing there in its presents, but I may have had a few drinks before taking the shot, LOL. (No, I lie) It was growing against wall here and over the gate but they can look exquisite growing up the wall of a house. My toys at work :).....the forest is local hehe….the soldiers belong to my husband from childhood :)...the robots are mine…....I asked a few friends about this image whether it was to much for child’s book….I mean the soliers going after the robots….what do you think?...should i leave it or less is more and scratch out the soliers…hmmmm i would love to hear feed back :)
