  • Yes, before you say it … strange! :-) As of July 2009, this painting has had 5,048 viewings and has been favourited 79 times and had 194 comments, so I guess someone out there likes it. Many thanks for your enthusiasm. To be candid though, I’ll never cease to be amazed at its reception, as I didn’t spend too much time on it and even kept it out of my portfolio for ages as I thought it was sub-standard. PLEASE NOTE – AS THE PROPORTIONS OF THIS ARE NOT IN LINE WITH THE PRINTING REQUIREMENTS, IT IS NO LONGER FOR SALE FEATURED BY SURREALISM GROUP – 28th July 2008 FEATURED BY YOU’RE ACCEPTED GROUP – 11th November 2008 FEATURED BY BRITISH PAINTERS GROUP – 26th June 2009 FEATURED BY UNIVERSAL INNOVATION GROUP – 3rd August 2009 I continued this theme and did two more paintings: /

  • This is probably the last of my kitty pix as I just got bored taking pictures of them once their voices dropped. And that’s probably why they treat me with total indifference these days. In fact, just the other day Scratch finished his water (we don’t give him milk because he never deserves it), looked up at me and said: “SillyBoy… or whatever they call you on that bubble thing… you could have been great if you’d just kept on shooting us…” So I told him I’d shoot him if he didn’t shut up. This is Scratch, from the same shoot as CAT in BW. He’s a pedigree Blue Point and he knows it and has since grown to be a total pain in the butt. Our other Siamese is Pepsi who is a dime a dozen Apple Head and doesn’t know it and is totally OK. But he’s not as photogenic. Such is life. Grin & bear it!

  • 2nd place winner of the 2008 Mildura Bush Film Festival (digital photography section). / Thanks so much to Robert Dye for supplying me with the name of the original artist for this concept. The Red Model was painted in approx 1935 by Rene Magrittes. / To see my website click here /

  • “There is no joy without hardship. If not for death, would we appreciate life? If not for hate, would we know the ultimate goal is love? At these moments you can either hold on to negativity and look for blame, or you can choose to heal and keep on loving.” / - Elisabeth Kubler-Ross MY WEBSITE For a Quick Look click / Gorgeous Gods & Goddesses, / Flowers, / Beautiful Places and Things, / Weddings / Pregnancy and Babies

  • The tallest walls cast the longest & deepest shadows but the darkest of shadows are spawn from the brightest of pure light. Some walls we create ourselves and some are created by situations beyond our control. Regardless of how they are created, we are left with a choice on how we deal with them. Due to the overwhelming oppressive shadow that a wall can cast, it may seem easier to succumb to the darkness and be imprisoned within the shadows; to fade away un-noticed, isolated and alone. / Emancipation is created in just one simple step out into the light. To summon the will to take that one small step can at times seems as though it’s a quest to traverse a mountain range. Sometimes a hand from another is required to get on ones feet but the first step must come from the will of the individual. Only once it has been taken can it be seen for all it is… a simple step. This image was inspired by the song These Walls by Dream Theater. If you dig this image and have some spare time, check it out. I find it inspires in taking that first step.
