Because of the nature of this image- the way we already associate theme park rides with speed and adrenalin, and the cloud formation at a speeding angle, yet the contrast of nothingness, we are expecting this image to jump out at any moment. / We expect to feel and hear the mechanical sounds of speeding carriages and the rushing wind through the bushes, the violent shaking of cogs and bolts. Screaming people. It conveys a sense that in the next moment everything in this picture will just fast forward in a frenzy of excitement, but at the same time it’s extremely soothing because we know we are in that moment of time where time seems to stop just for a second before all emotions explode.

Hey A Mono HDR this time. With this subject being in a dungeon and raging i wanted to create that feel in the look of the image. Kinda like a horror movie :-) What it really is, is one of the characters from Beatlejuice the movie, Herman i believe but i may be wrong. Cant say i remember the movie lol I shot it when i was in Florida last year ( 07 ). Its a great pity that the Microphone is showing on his left side. All the characters were wearing them because part of the show involved singing! Im good with CS2, but not that good to remove it lol. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to look. Stevie

On the serious side though, I think much of the attraction of these sorts of mirrors, and who hasn’t used one, is that they allow us to examine who we are by seeing ourselves in a way that is who we aren’t
