Made with images from deviantart.com. When I found the music stock for this piece I went in search of the lyrics to the song. / The song is by Artie Shaw. The words came right out of the computer screen and touched me so deeply. I am sure we all have met someone like this in our lives. It could be a parent, a lover, a spouse and even a child. For me that person would have to be my daughter. When I was growing up I dreamed of having a little girl that I could love totally and unconditionally. Mind you I never thought that dream would come true for a variety of reasons but it happened when I least expected it to and when I least wanted it too. I was in my late 30s involved with a man whom at the time I thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread. That all changed when I told him I was pregnant. Suddenly and almost without warning he changed from the most compassionate person I knew to one whom even wild dogs would be considered tame up against. / Suffice it to say I am now a single parent raising the most incredible kid imaginable. She is a honor roll student and has been since kindergarten. She has not let the obstacles we have had to overcome stop her from dreaming big. She makes me laugh when I most need one. She always seems to know instinctively when to do that too. / I created this for her and it will eventually hang in her room so that she knows that even when she is behaving like a brat or his stomped on my last nerve that she will know that she will always be my dream come true. Now for the sales pitch. If you know someone that this song embodies please buy my card or art work. It will help me fund my daughter’s dream trip to Disney World for her birthday.
