I just had to shout this one out before I go on my trip. – I can’t seem to make the break from “the bubble” . Every chance I get I’m on the site before I have to leave….my husband is getting rather annoyed as it is making packing very difficult. BUT…. I was looking at my ‘Art’ and noticed that I have had 716 views of my image for the photoshopcreative07 challenge. / Now, I know some of you would be saying “716, that’s not many…” but considering that my next highest is 127, 120 and then they’re mostly in the the 60’s…I’m really excitied. / I’m so happy that so many people have stopped by to check out my entry in the comp….and everyone has been so nice and left such wonderful comments. So… THANK YOU to everyone who has had a peep at my work. Ok. The time has come. After I post this I’ll have one more look at my activity and then I’m outa here….........at least until I can find another computer somewhere to check-in…........maybe one of those internet cafe’s…........... / See ya

Wow, thanks to all of you photographers and artists that have come for a look. I’ve only been on here one and half months but I’ve had sales here and additional ones from directing people to this site. I also have three photo ‘shoots’ coming up so I’m very happy. This is a wonderful site and bar the bitching and jealousy issues (not of mine, of real artists), a great place to set yourself up comfortably and enjoy yourself. I havn’t had so many late nights since I was a teenager. Just last year you know. That’s right.

Well I have been a member of redbubble for just shy of 18 months. It has been a very interesting time for me to say the least. Redbubble has given me the opportunity to showcase my work, receive great community support for my work and I have even sold the odd card and print. During my bubble journey I have met some wonderful artists both in person and through redbubble. I have participated in five exhibitions as a direct result of a redbubble get together and meeting the wonderful Steve McLaren. Many other artists I have met along the way have inspired me and taught me many things. I co-host four groups dedicated to traditional art which I have a real passion for. This is very rewarding interacting and promoting these artists. The reason for this journal is because I have just reached a milestone, quite significant in views but I am not revealing just what it is. It is a buzz for me even though many of you here on redbubble would have reached this milestone within 6 months of being here. Thank you redbubble, everybody that is watching me and all of the community at redbubble. It has been a pleasure and I’m sure it will continue to be one!!

Just a minute ago I reached another Milestone on Red Bubble, when my view count hit 80,000 ! :)) Thanks very much to everyone who has ever looked at my Gallery since I first decided to join Red Bubble in January 2008. It’s been an incredible online community to be a part of, a place where you can view amazing Art of all types and connect with other people from all over the world who love Art and imagery. This morning my view counter clicked over 100,000 Views ! Thanks to everyone who has looked at my work since I first joined Red Bubble in January 2008. When I became a member of RB, it never even entered my mind that I would have had that many views of my images or that I would have looked at that many images from other Artists too. It’s a great web site to see fantastic imagery and expand your concept of what is possible in the world of Art – everything ! The depth of talent on Red Bubble is amazing. There are great friends to be made on this site too – it’s a lot of fun and there are some very interesting things discussed. I joined RB in October 2008. There were many reasons for joining: obviously I wanted to promote my work and share what I do with the world, secondly I needed a positive distraction to take me away from my daily life which had fallen down around me. The following comments, favourites, views and sales helped me divert my attention at what was a very lonely and isolating period of my life. In July 2008 (on the eve of our wedding anniversary) my husband had a stroke. Thankfully, over the last year, the use of his right side and speech returned and he is back to his ‘old-self’ with the exception of monitoring excesses of stress, cholesterol and alcohol! Sadly, the friends that I thought I had actually were “fiends”, and saw the physical snap-shots of his recovery as ‘he’s better’. The ‘friends’ that I thought I had I discovered were no more than high-maintenance baggage who were so self centred they couldn’t see that I was drowning not waving! Redbubblers (without knowing) stepped in, and I want to thank each and everyone of you in helping my husbands recovery and keeping my sanity in what otherwise would have been such a lonely time. Thankyou for the 8362 comments that I have received, read and replied to, and the 1291 favourites that have given me a niche, sense of purpose and a value. Thankyou For the first nine months of his recovery Brian slept on average 18-20 hours a day. The moments of Brian ‘being there’ and what outsiders ‘saw’ was enclosed in the longest and quietest of days imaginable – the silence was deafening. I want to thank those who have given me nothing more than positives during this time and who unknowingly ‘been there’ at all hours of day and night when my insomnia has kicked in. Daytimes were hard, the night-times seemed to go on for ever. Whilst Brian slept, I listened, whether it be painting or on the PC: for so long Brian was afraid to be left alone and I was so afraid to leave him.
