Wow, thanks to all of you photographers and artists that have come for a look. I’ve only been on here one and half months but I’ve had sales here and additional ones from directing people to this site. I also have three photo ‘shoots’ coming up so I’m very happy. This is a wonderful site and bar the bitching and jealousy issues (not of mine, of real artists), a great place to set yourself up comfortably and enjoy yourself. I havn’t had so many late nights since I was a teenager. Just last year you know. That’s right.

Tonight I havejust hit 40,000 views. / That is so far beyond what I thought I could achieve when I initially joined the bubble. wow i finally did it!! hit 21,000 views!! / il admit when i 1st came to redbubble, i was leary due to other sites ive been on. overtime im very happy to say my outlook here as completely done a turn around, this is pretty much the only place i have my work / the people here are totally awesome / everyone that has commented and viewed, and favored…thanks so much / thanks doesnt really seem to be enough, and when i cant be here for a couple of days, it seems like i have missed so much, and as i try to play ketchup, i lose more valueable time of what is going on at present / this site and the people are a god send, you support, help, encourage so many with simple words and actions, each are very much appreciated by me, and im sure everyone else who feels the way i do / so thanks to everyone…for getting me to 21,000 Views (and counting) :)

It’s exciting….it’s a feeling of accomplishment…and it’s an adventure to have shared my works with well over 20,000 people and counting!!! / It’s also an honor to me to be able to share my art and communicate with each of you. It’s wonderful to find commonalities in people and even friends in places like New Zealand, China, Australia, England, Ireland, Africa, The States and everywhere in-between! / Each of us and our forms of art are so different and unique and yet we are more alike than we might know. On our stage known as RedBubble we unite and create a much larger work of art…a living work of art! We have a beautiful community of people here who share a common thread of the love of words, lines, colors, thoughts, shapes, dreams and the passion for expression. The passion for art! Just went to check the dates on my calendars and noticed that my Love Calendar has hit 1000 views. This is fabulous news and I want to thank all my friends on RedBubble who have commented, favourited and visited my Love Calendar. I would also like to introduce my Goddess Calendar for 2010. I just uploaded this calendar last night. I drew my 12 goddesses over a 15 day period in July from the 11 July to 25 July 2009. The first 7 I drew in 7 days. I have uploaded the drawings in the order to which they were created. I have had an astrologer look at them and she has told me which image goes with each astrology sign and suggested I may want to upload them in that order as well. Something to ponder. Also I would like to share that I have been on RedBubble for two years this month this September…Yeh…and what a beautiful two years they have been. I am thinking of uploading a special Calendar with my top 12 viewed paintings and drawings as way of celebrating these two wonderful years. To say RedBubble has changed my life is an understatement. Meeting so many talented and beautiful people here on RedBubble has enriched my life. I feel that I have grown as both an artist and as a person having come in contact with you all. This is a web based community that is thriving because of the support, inspiration and sharing of like minded people. So a big thank you to all my beautiful friends for your comments, favourites, critiques, for viewing my work and sharing all your beautiful work with me aswell. I joined RB in October 2008. There were many reasons for joining: obviously I wanted to promote my work and share what I do with the world, secondly I needed a positive distraction to take me away from my daily life which had fallen down around me. The following comments, favourites, views and sales helped me divert my attention at what was a very lonely and isolating period of my life. In July 2008 (on the eve of our wedding anniversary) my husband had a stroke. Thankfully, over the last year, the use of his right side and speech returned and he is back to his ‘old-self’ with the exception of monitoring excesses of stress, cholesterol and alcohol! Sadly, the friends that I thought I had actually were “fiends”, and saw the physical snap-shots of his recovery as ‘he’s better’. The ‘friends’ that I thought I had I discovered were no more than high-maintenance baggage who were so self centred they couldn’t see that I was drowning not waving! Redbubblers (without knowing) stepped in, and I want to thank each and everyone of you in helping my husbands recovery and keeping my sanity in what otherwise would have been such a lonely time. Thankyou for the 8362 comments that I have received, read and replied to, and the 1291 favourites that have given me a niche, sense of purpose and a value. Thankyou For the first nine months of his recovery Brian slept on average 18-20 hours a day. The moments of Brian ‘being there’ and what outsiders ‘saw’ was enclosed in the longest and quietest of days imaginable – the silence was deafening. I want to thank those who have given me nothing more than positives during this time and who unknowingly ‘been there’ at all hours of day and night when my insomnia has kicked in. Daytimes were hard, the night-times seemed to go on for ever. Whilst Brian slept, I listened, whether it be painting or on the PC: for so long Brian was afraid to be left alone and I was so afraid to leave him.
