The making of that image is so simple,with Picasa I put the two pics together,one of a macro shot of bark without cropping and a portrait of my boyfriend listenning to his friends sitting at the patio table.I darked arround a little and that’s it.I didn’t have to do ajustment for the eye and the ear,it’s like the two pics were meant to fit together… :))) / I sold a matted print on the 29 th of november 08 to an unknown bubbler and that image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece. / That poem is called The Free Thinker would.. /

Wycoller is a delightful Lancashire village about 4 miles East of Colne, and is slowly being brought back to life after years of abandonment. In 1948 “The Friends of Wycoller” were established in an effort to preserve Wycoller village and the hall. Lancashire County council bought the land from the Water Board in 1973 and the beautiful village and surrounding countryside were designated a country park.

This is a collaboration between my daughter, Brianna (13), and myself. :) She’s a fantastic photographer for her age..she amazes me much of the time. She showed me this photo that she took, and I begged her to let me work on it. :) (yes…I had to beg! Teenagers..ya know?) Anyway, she’s been studying Japanese for a little over 2 years now, so when I asked her what we should call it, she said simply: ki. / Japanese for tree.. / / / >featured< / homepage / / /

NOW AVAILABLE IN PRINT After some weeks of developing this piece in my mind it finally just started to come together. As usual I went at the theme with something different in mind. What are we to say about how the divine eye sees our world or we may see the divine world in comparison to our own. This thought inspired a more surreal feel to the finished product. This is the same favourite tree that I already have a photo of but this time I actually stopped the car to take this photo! I not only find this tree fascinating but in a way, quite intimidating due to it’s awesome size, age and mystery. With this treatment, I have endeavoured to capture some of the age, mystery and sometimes darkness of this old tree.
