South Africa
My eldest son, lost in one of his fantasy novels…......
Where a lot of construction is taking place in East London, South Africa. I drive past this every morning I take the children to school, and with winter now just started, the light behind has been getting more and more delightful at this time of the morning. I had no idea that I would be so intrigued by metal monsters, when I am a nature-loving person. But here we go – I had to take a photo.
Bonza Bay beach, East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa / I sold this image middle of July this year. Well, a stock library I had almost forgotten about sold it for R300, I got R240! Not via a person viewing the stock library, and buying from there (I would have gotten less), but because East London (also known as Buffalo City) was looking for images for a “focus on Buffalo City” publication, and approached the stock library owner, who chose a few images from different people. / I was, and still am, really really pleased!
3 jack russell puppies, 3 weeks old, would have loved to have kept them all, but sold them all and I’m sure are loving their new “moms”
I don’t want to wake up. Do you?
sing with me / why-are-we-waiting- / this-is-getting-irritating
Done in micrografix, by my son when he was ten, he turned 11 earlier this month, December 08
As is, straight from the camera
Who are they? Were they there when the people in the distance were closer? Or did they only come after? What are they watching? The people? Each other? Or you?
Oh go on then, just continue to hide / all bundled up and lonely inside
one of a few I took for a family at the beach
for your child, or as a gift, or for pre-school teachers
Yum Yum! Let me get myself up here….. oops, missed a juicy one back here!
This is their dad’s house, but I was still there when they did this, over a few years between the ages of 2 and 6. They are now 9 and 10. And they are creative kids, not afraid to be themselves. / This is in the lounge, and this area photographed is about one and a half metres high by 2 metres across. / I also encouraged my boys, from small already, to play in mud and get dirty.
This is Sheba, my parents’ dog. The photo taken two years ago. She is old and blind. Well, not totally it seems, as she knows her way around the house, and seems to see shadowy images as is still aware of what’s going on around her, and in every other way, is a normal happy dog who my parents adore.
