  • Mrs. Flibble said I should shred some confidential stuff, lest it fall into the wrong hands. That would be… er… problematic and embarrassing – and not just for the llamas. Now normally I’m good at shredding, but today I forgot to heed the warning of "shred with a tie and you’re dead". It was going great, but just as I reached for the latest stack of llama sex orgy paperwork, my tie flopped into the diamond cut steel grinding gears of the shredder of death. This is moments before my grizzly end. Splendid. Oooh… I just started a blog: www.idrinkleadpaint.com Strobist stuff: I had a flash, camera left through an umbrella, deliberately set quite high to give the shot a bit more drama. Wide angle lens was in really close for extra distortion. Wanted a Flibble in the headlights sort of death. Ties were hurt in the making of this photograph.

  • The classic tale of science gone wrong, wrapped up in a B-Movie. Who can forget the immortal line at the end: ‘If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out’. Ray Miland at his best—either this or Dial M for Murder. Certainly better than all those times he appeared in Columbo as an incompetent killer.

  • Part of my private anti-terrorism campaign. Digital mixed media / Copyright © LiorG 2008 This work was featured on the main Art page and in the groups Abstract Art and Solo Exhibition. Add Lior Goldenberg to your watchlist

  • Barn Owl with wicked expression. Photo based illustration.

  • A little more Photoshop. This was actually Harrisons idea.

  • She is regal, she is royal, she is every woman, she is you, she is me…she is strong in body mind and soul, she is timeless,...she is wise, she is free, this woman, “The Queen”... The Fourth in the series, her face is half turned to the viewer, looking away, conscious of her dignity, regal in her bearing, as if carved from the rarest wood... I have named you queen. / There are taller ones than you, taller. / There are purer ones than you, purer. / There are lovelier than you, lovelier. But you are the queen. When you go through the streets / no one recognizes you. / No one sees your crystal crown, no one looks / at the carpet of red gold / that you tread as you pass, / the nonexistent carpet. And when you appear / all the rivers sound / in my body, bells / shake the sky, / and a hymn fills the world. Only you and I, / only you and I, my love, / listen to it. Pablo Neruda Acrylic and Watercolour on Fabriano Artistico / The Masquerade / The Cameo

  • / In my goal to portray women in all guises and emotions, here is the latetst addition to the collection..”The Temptation”....we all know what the feeling…temptation comes in many disguises…is she the temptress, or has she been tempted?make of her what you will… / When I was halfway through painting it, I remembered a picture I had seen in a magazine advertising lipstick….the model had her fingers on the open lips…. I thought they would be a perfect addititon to the painting, but I needed to see them again, just to be sure…. I frantically dug through my recycling bin (luckily we are having a garbage strike and everthing is still here) and found the picture…..the fingers were just what I needed…it was apparent that the picture had been buried in my subconscious, just waiting to emerge in this painting….I made the modifications to the image and here it is Acrylic and watercolour on Fabriano Paper.. 613 views…33 Favouritings.. When all things charm me I ignore / Which one alone brings most delight; / She shines before me like the dawn, / And she consoles me like the night. The harmony is far too great, / That governs all her body fair, / For impotence to analyse / And say which note is sweetest there. O mystic metamorphosis! / My senses into one sense flow— / Her voice makes perfume when she speaks, / Her breath is music faint and low!” ..Baudelaire / The Quiet / The Plea / Le Maquillage / The Queen / The Masquerade / The Cameo

  • Who is Silvia? what is she, / That all our swains commend her? / Holy, fair, and wise is she; / The heaven such grace did lend her, / That she might admirèd be. / Is she kind as she is fair? / For beauty lives with kindness. / Love doth to her eyes repair, / To help him of his blindness, / And, being helped, inhabits there. / Then to Silvia let us sing, / That Silvia is excelling; / She excels each mortal thing / Upon the dull earth dwelling: / To her let us garlands bring...Shakespeare Watercolour on Arches Not Paper FEATURED IN THE FOLLOWING GROUPS… / CREATIVE CARDS.. / IMPRESSIONIST ART / FINE ART / The Riddle / Illusion / The Wish / Virtue / The Party / The Beauty / The Star / The Night / The Temptation / The Quiet / The Plea / Le Maquillage

  • When exactly nine years had passed since this gracious being appeared to me, as I have described, it happened that on the last day of this intervening period this marvel appeared before me again, dressed in purest white, walking between two other women of distinguished bearing, both older than herself. As they walked down the street she turned her eyes toward me where I stood in fear and trembling, and with her ineffable courtesy, which is now rewarded in eternal life, she greeted me; and such was the virtue of her greeting that I seemed to experience the height of bliss. It was exactly the ninth hour of day when she gave me her sweet greeting. As this was the first time she had ever spoken to me, I was filled with such joy that, my senses reeling, I had to withdraw from the sight of others. So I returned to the loneliness of my room and began to think about this gracious person. Dante (La Vita Nuova III) Dante first met Beatrice when he was nine and she was a year younger…he was entranced with her, but they did not meet again until nine years later..he went home and wrote what is considered to be one of the worlds greatest romantic poems, “La Vita Nuova”... many painters have recorded their meeting on the bridge…however there is only one (presumed) portrait of her…I discovered it after I painted this and there is no resemblance.. / Dante thought her angelic…I hope you think the same of my Beatrice... • He left her laying on the floor on a dirty mattress, the place he left her every night, the place he told her to / now call “Home” as he walked away from her, the hatred streaming through her veins made her snap, she wouldn’t go down like this, she called out to him, “Don’t Leave”, turning eyeing her suspiciously, he walked back to her, not knowing she had found her weapon earlier that day, a brick in the corner under some cardboard, behind her back she gripped it with one hand, the other hand reaching out to him, as he drew close she brought the brick down hard on the side of his head..down he went….she ran towards the door slamming it shut..,,finally she was free!!! She didn’t know which way to run, she just ran..as she rounded the corner.. to her utter relief parked not 20 ft from her was a police car..screaming..running she now knew she was safe..in no time she would be back home..”Her Home” she drew closer seeing him getting out of his car approaching her, she ran..throwing herself in the safety of his open arms..crying..”there..there now..your safe” he said ..she stiffened..knowing that voice..No it can’t be!!! She looked up right into the eyes of her worst nightmare..Him..he looked down, kissed her forhead “ wrapped his arms tightly around her waist..Now sweetie lets go back HOME.. Nikon D90 / 18-200 mm VR Lens Went on the inner part of the grain elevator today and got this shot (no one around on Sundays)

  • His real name was S. Quentin Quale, a master surgeon at Willows County Mental Hospital where he performed forbidden brain surgery on patients in order to create a race of super humans. He ended up hanged by an angry mob… The following day his body had vanished. No trace of Dr. Satan was ever discovered. Dr Satan is a fictional character created by Rob Zombie in the films House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, portrayed by Walter Phelan. Inks.

  • Another from this series…. all my own images. I started out selecting more than 60 ‘ok’ images from the hundreds I shot for this, then added the same 2 texture layers to each of these, though in the style and the composition as seemed to suit each image best. From that point, I have gradually over the weeks been selecting those images that seem to have most potential, and further adding any more post-processing to that image as it individually seemed most effective…... Again, please view LARGE – I wish you could see the size of image I can get on my screen – it really is very detailed… ;))) Featured in ‘Core’. Featured in ‘Photo Manipulators’.

  • I thought I would play around with this one a bit more ( I have it uploaded on here in b/w..Dead End) I decided to upload the color version and crop it a bit. / This was taken in Pigeon Michigan. Nikon D90 / 18-200 mm VR Lens

  • This image has been sitting in my files for a fair while, and suddenly it just decided to ‘be here’. I have no idea why, and I feel too tired to really try to work out why myself. If anyone is interested in forming any deep and meaningful psychodynamic theories about this – feel free. All my own images. FEATURED IN ‘DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY’! FEATURED IN ‘IMAGINATIVE REALISM’! FEATURED IN ‘QUORN’!

  • Here’s my nod to the Halloween-horrors of life: the mask that isn’t a mask. It’s the face of cruelty and ignorance and greed and hate…all gussied up with feathers and pretty colors. Try to remove it and you’ll find that it’s not a mask at all. It’s the visage of evil, not a treat at all. Scanned image of me in a mask, with photo images of tree trunks added for texture and one image of my eyes (I don’t keep my eyes open for scanning…). Editing and digital painting done in Photoshop Elements 3, scanning completed in ArcSoft Photostudio and CanoScan8800F. /
