In the first quarter of the 21st Century multiple countries are planning to establish permanent lunar colonies. The reasons are many but one of the main reasons are for the resources of the Moon which can be made into components for the human exploration of Mars. / / There are some elements that are in abundance in the lunar environment that will help with the biosphere of Earth. Many scientists are working on processes that will alleviate some of the energy issues that have gotten worse over time. Though the orb called Earth is our home, we as a society are slowly degrading the quality of our home world. / / As we move out into the Universe by first placing permanent colonies upon the lunar surface then outward into our solar system, hopefully, we will take the lessons learned by mismanagement of our home planet’s environment to heart as we move out into the stars. To live within our environment and future environments will allow us to expand outward to new discoveries and worlds which will allow for our species to grow as well as prosper. At the same time the cautionary note should be at what cost to the environments in which we plan to place our imprint. / / Will the lunar surface be scarred with “robotic” strip mining? / Will we unleash environmental disasters by ignoring the history of our own societies mistakes? / Will we honor what we have learned to be more eco-friendly as we begin to explore the vastness of space? / / Only time will tell if we are a society which learns from our mistakes or a society that consumes at all costs even to our own detriment. / / Some groups that you may want to visit and join: / AW Welcome Center / EF Welcome Center / Globes, Spheres and Curves / DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Fantasy Art / Human and Nature / Light and Reflections / Disclaimer

Catching my Breath: / January 2008 has been almost a non-stop run from gallery to gallery. On the January 4th I received an honorable mention for “The Bog” at the River Reflections Art Show. Then another gallery that deals in contemporary art has asked for me to have them represent my work in their area. My first regional exclusive representation so I am stoked. In order to get to that level the gallery owner wants to include my work in a show that begins in February so I have been busy getting new work prepared for that show. / / It has been a bit crazy to stop in to all the online venues my work is presented but I do see my schedule becoming a hectic buzz of creating work. Therefore, I will be focused on maintaining the groups I own/moderate and posting works and trying to keep to a regular schedule for my online venues. / / The Artist of the Month for December will be merged into the Artist of the Month for January because there was such a low turnout of votes I assume because it was right in the middle of the holidays. / / I wish everyone a creative and healthy upcoming year for you and yours. / / Some groups that you may want to visit and join: / AW Welcome Center / EF Welcome Center / Globes, Spheres and Curves / DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Fantasy Art / Human and Nature / Light and Reflections / Disclaimer

If you had to choose between the Newtonian Law or the Theory of Invariants which would you choose? The planet Mercury during its elliptical orbit advances according to Newtonian Physics about 1/557th of a degree every century this occurs at the time Mercury is at its closest to the Sun. The Theory of Invariants is accurate and shows that the change is 1/600th of a degree and has been proven to be more accurate. Every time you use a GPS (Global Positioning System) device you inadvertently prove the Theory of Invariants. By now you are scratching your head since you may never have heard of that Theory in Physics but you know it under a different name but the equation is known by everyone. Albert Einstein ended up calling it the Theory of Relativity. So what is in a name? If Albert Einstein would have had his way we would be talking about the Theory of Invariants which really does not trip off the tongue very well but then again everything is relative or so Einstein proved. This is how “Theory of Invariants looks as a card: Some other groups you may find of interest as well: DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Human and Nature / Fantasy Art / Light and Reflections

“I will venture to affirm, that the three seasons wherein our corn has miscarried did no more contribute to our present misery, than one spoonful of water thrown upon a rat already drowned would contribute to his death; and that the present plentiful harvest, although it should be followed by a dozen ensuing, would no more restore us, than it would the rat aforesaid to put him near the fire, which might indeed warm his fur-coat, but never bring him back to life.” Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) Some other groups you may find of interest as well: DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Human and Nature / Fantasy Art / Light and Reflections

“Uncontrolled, the hunger and thirst after God may become an obstacle, cutting off the soul from what it desires. If a man would travel far along the mystic road, he must learn to desire God intensely but in stillness, passively and yet with all his heart and mind and strength.” Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) Some other groups you may find of interest as well: DaDa Land / Boolean Art / Human and Nature / Fantasy Art / Light and Reflections

“For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” / / Hebrew Bible. Hosea 8:7 / / Referring to idolaters. In the world the former Soviet Union and the United States have accumulated massive arsenals of nuclear weapons.
