  • This piece is relating to how I am a virtual architect. The lattice spheres represent the inner child trying to escape and the golden globes symbolize the delicate balance between light (Happiness) and heaviness (Burdens). Throughout life we are always challenged especially in the facets of emotions and we strive for some perfection in an area of our life. The sky is brooding, it abounds with beauty but easily could turn into a storm like our emotions. The ground is solid but with imperfections. The outer sphere coveting the lattice sphere is symbolic of protecting ones own heart. The absence of forms in the golden sphere represents loss as we all suffer loss in friends, family, pets, and even faith. The spheres blended into the ground bare the relationship to being grounded and not losing touch with reality, but as you can see sometimes if we do its only for a brief moment. The shadows, simple…sometimes we hide behind ourselves in fear of rejection or exceptance with others. We all have the right to be individuals, but we choose to live as we want, and we should love who we become in the end. My art is my escape, a way to handle emotions, loss, share happiness, vent anger, seek intimacy, etc. If you take the time to notice what I title my pieces by, you can see many aspects of me and who i am, whats going on in my life at the moment. Art is an expression of emotions and sometimes we have to be our own Virtual Architect in life.©2007 / . / . / .Lisa C. • Finding The Lost Civilization of Reimini Day 17…. / Finding the lost civilization of Reimini was the most treacherous trek we had ever made in our 22 yrs of archaeology. We lost many along the way but when we arrived we were astonished at the architectural design and still standing structures. It appeared to be preserved by the icy colds of the mountainous range of Reimite in the southern hemisphere. Strange devices and tools were found unlike any mankind had used in history. It was almost alien like until we found a skeleton of what we hoped was a native to this era. The bones were similar to our own but the abdominal cavity showed traces of what appeared to have been 2 stomaches. Upon further examination 2 hearts once occupied this individual. My husband and I had first heard of the Reimini by an old ex-C.I.A. agent who specialized in covert ops. He was sent to the region some 16 yrs ago to retrieve a box from the location, he never opened it. But kept a map of the location all these years and told us he saw strange things their and structures unlike any built in the last 2000 yrs. Image & Text Copyright © 2008 Lisa Weber. • 3200 ISO is a brave new world for me. As a self confessed low ISO junkie, one who used Ektar 25 film whenever and wherever he could for many years because I wanted tight grain, the tighter the better, I would pull out all the stops I could to use that amazing ISO 25 film! For sure I’d never gone above ISO 1000 and then only to shoot indoor sporting events. Low ISO was(?) a hang-up for me! But I wanted to try astral photography and high ISO can get you there! However as we all know high ISO leads to increased noise which is something fairly new to me. You can use software and Photoshop plugins but I’ve been considering, one way to control noise would be to minimize or eliminate it by keeping the ISO as low as possible and that’s one way I‘m leaning. So in that regard it looks like a fast 50 prime is in order! It’s fun to be experimenting and learning, eh! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 30 / Av( Aperture Value ) 3.5 / ISO Speed 3200 / Focal Length 18.0mm / Flash at 1/16 power and about 12 or 13 paper towels for diffusion. “One Night Under the Milky Way” was shot at Flamber Head on Newfoundland’s East Coast Trail For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr
