This was, very obviously, heavily influenced by someone else’s work. i don’t remember their name, or ID, right off hand, but the piece should be in my favorites and as I was trying to emulate their way with a “tentacle” it should be readily apparent whose work I mean.
It is hard to shoot through glass, but this one came out well.

This Keeled Octopus (Octopus berrima) got a scare from me as I was chasing after an eel to get a shot. It’s puffed itself up to look as big as possible.
About three years ago I was bored and decided to draw this. It’s just pencil on paper. Not really sure about the subject matter – I was in an odd mood. My friend Lozzle edited it on photoshop so now it also come in: / Orange / Blue

Ricoh Caplio R6 A Bluebottle Jellyfish washed up on Surf Beach, near my home on the south coast of New South Wales. In other parts of the world, this Jellyfish is known as a Portugese Man o’ War because of it’s shape. / Tread carefully … the “float” seen here may vary from 3 to 15 centimetres and this was one of the biggest I have seen, the tiny rocks are fine grains of sand. The tentacles which are not obvious in this shot, range from 15 centimetres up to 10 metres in length and under a microscope appear to be a long line of barbed hooks. / If stung, the area should be washed (without rubbing which would release more poison) and medical advice should be sought.
