Mother pampering her infant. “Baby Me” has been featured by the group “Endangered Species” 8/08. - The Black-Crested Sulawesi Macaques is one of the most endangered monkeys in the world, populations declining 60% in the last 10 years. This monkey is found on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, where it is hunted because its meat is considered a delicacy. Habitat destruction is also contributing to their demise. - Don’t miss out on these other animal images: - - ! - (Simply Click on the thumbnail to purchase!)
Vodka martini with a little ice to make it cold and a slice of orange for fun. Makes a great party invitation.
A G O N Y The pinprick void grows / Encompassing all / The snow of eons / Falls on my soul / My heart torn asunder / Again shatters / In shards of chill fear / I feel such cold / And pain … / Again and again / Is there any small brief hope / Will any particle of love hold sway / Or will it lie / And choke / Every word / At the source / What meaning is this / The universe / Has inverted / I am lost / In understanding / And giving / And loving / My soul diminishing / Spiralling inward / To what? / Where? / When? I cry / My voice whipped away / On the vortices / Of an agony so sweet / I lie hiding in my womb / Just waiting your touch / To be reborn. / Pijinlane / Jen Whyte / 14/2/2008 / Portrait / Architectural / people/culture / Macro / Landscape / Still Life / Animal / Nude/FineArt / SunsetCollection / Flowers / Model Maria Anne / Model Saskia Ying / Model Blondie / Model Tammy / Kids / The Book Of Love —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. One for all the Rubberists out there.
I happened across these snow formations while following a coyote’s trail in the Mt Hood Wilderness Area. A stream gurgled beneath this surreal landscape of symmetrical banks and humps, and clearly this was an edge of the coyote’s home territory, so I’ve named the scene Tending the Line. All creeks and rivers flowing from the Mt Hood Wilderness are part of the Columbia River watershed. The Columbia was once a truly unique American river that supported the largest wild run of Chinook salmon in the world. Human encroachment has irrevocable altered the Columbia system but we can still save many other Oregon rivers that contain viable but threatened salmon habitat. To that end, all proceeds from the sale of my work are donated to Oregon Trout, a statewide conservation group working to restore freshwater health and habitat through innovation and education. Pelican with young at Sea World.
A completely opportunistic shot. My husband Nick and I were picnicking in a beautiful leafy little valley in the Brenta Dolomites of northern Italy, when Nick spotted this. It appears to be a solitary wasp of sorts, sitting on a fist-sized comb and she is feeding and tending to her larvae which you can actually see in the cells. As with many macros, I couldn’t appreciate what was going on until I processed the image. Ain’t nature wonderful?! ;o)
I found a whole new den of pika (or is it pikas? I can never remember). Larry the Pika lives a little above 14,000ft, with some minor greenery. This little den of pika (or is it pikas? Man, that’s gonna bug me) live around 13,500ft – enough of a difference that there’s much more green. A couple of adults and what look alike a young pika – about half the size of the adults. You probably can’t tell, but this is one of the the younger pika. The green makes him much easier to spot and adds a much needed splash of color.
This is a picture of a woman taking care of flowers in her home, they sit on a decorated table.

This is a garden in rural Dorset which belongs to friends who own and tend it faithfully. They offer great hospitality to many people, especially in this lovely summer house. It has become a haven to me and to many others. But the garden is not open to the public at large.

Overall, I found that the Stone Zoo didn’t provide many great photo opportunites and was, therfore, a big disppointment for me. Most of my shots of the day were taken at the flamingo exhibit. Here a Mother tends to her newborn flamigno which was born earlier this week. Enjoy! Len / I INVITE YOU TO ENJOY MORE OF MY PHOTOGRAPHS. CLICK HERE TO VIEW MY PORTFOLIO. Photo Taken In Point Pleasant, NJ. 1955-— This is the last photo of my Great Uncle Simon “Sam” Sorensen (seated on the left ). He died shortly after this photo was taken while lobster fishing on this boat. / / He would visit and stay with us for a few days after a fishing trip. We never knew when he would arrive, we would see him walking up the long driveway to our house with a giant lobster under each arm. Or a big cloth flower sack filled with scallops. / / Sam’s visits were always looked forward to by us all. / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / - / / Studio Photo of Sam , taken in the mid 1920’s
This is undeniably one of my favorite barns ever & actually this enhancement is one of my personal favorites of my very own artwork/photography design! I took this picture this past Saturday as we took a family trip to a nearby city. My beautiful family is so patient with their Mom when she just has to pull over & take yet another picture! Taken on the Glaisdale to Egton road in North Yorkshire in the North York Moors National Park, looking back towards the Moors above Goathland and the valley of the River Esk. A land settled by each passing generation of immigrant nations, the names and history of the land is now a reflection of the Norse people who settled the land with their place names. Converted into pinhole black and white and best viewed large
