Ode to Georgia O’Keeffe. FEATURED in: / COLOR ME A RAINBOW, (color orange) December 10, 2009 / ART FOR THE WORLD, December 20, 2009 / INVITE ONLY-Best of FEATURED Rainbow Works I just love her passionate art work. / To paint like her is to understand her suggestive play between delicate shafts of light and shadow. You become one with her passion for revealing illuminations. Georgia O’Keeffe one of the great modern U.S. artists was a painter known for her unique, individualistic style. / Her work is sensual evoking the sense of the subject of the painting and somehow both realistic and abstract. For years people have been seeing all kinds of things in O’Keeffe’s flowers: they’re erotic and sensual for sure! / O’Keeffe admits there is reason for her flowers and landscapes to be considered as symbols of the unconscious. She is chiefly known for paintings in which she synthesized abstraction and representation in paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones and landscapes. / Her paintings present crisply contoured forms that are replete with subtle tonal transitions of varying colors. / She often transformed her subject matter into powerful abstract images. OIL on gallery style studio stretched canvas with creative edge. / Dimensions: 16”x20” Gallery style 1.5 stretchers on medium texture cotton duck (creative edge) ORIGINAL OIL AVAILABLE FOR GALLERY EXHIBITION / CONTACT ARTIST DIRECTLY BY EMAIL

This is one of the windows of the recently opened new building for Testwood Baptist Church, Toton, Hampshire UK. With it is the moto that has seen me through my ongoing treatment for bone cancer
Pain is Temporary, Victory is Forever! This is the message of the cross. Though He was flogged, beaten and abused it was only temporary compared to the Victory He won for all of us. This has been a huge comfort in my battle with bone cancer, though I have been left in pain and with a disability, it is only temporary compared to the victory we have in Christ!
Footprint on a sandy beach with gentle wave
I know, this is not so artsy, but if you know the reference you’ll appreciate the accurate fonts. Text is black, happy face is gray. Eyes and mouth on the happy face are transparent so whatever color shirt you select will show through; on darker shirts it will start to become less readable.
This was shot inside an abandoned rusted truck. I took the plunge and entered, only to find this magnificent view. Find more at my Yannis Larios Photography website, where I keep my Greece photos and World photos that I have shot
Damselfly, Ischnura heterosticta, overhanging a temporary soak in the Central Coast bush.

I’ve designed this for the RedBubble Logo Challenge ... It’s got style… It’s got flair… It’s got zing… in that special ‘colour vomit’ way !!
I figure if I’m entering the logo into a contest, then why not make some tee? Let it cool down first or you’ll burn yourselves. It’s perfect timing too, because it’s a new tee and it fits the criteria for tee photo love challenge The original image is acid candy from my latest ‘colour vomit’ series… it’s an art movement worth your learning !!

FE Talis varI formula. The Retreat is a fractal library, open all hours, with a never ending cornucopia of fractals. More than you would find in any library of paper books. It is like an internet cafe inasmuch as you can have refreshment and chatter, but also a comfortable chair in which to doze as fractals render in front of your very eyes. Home from home in fact.

It was a fascinating sight, only visible for just a short moment each time: this reflection of the lighthouse at Scheveningen. Each time the waves ran up towards the beach again, it was lost in the turmoil of the rising water. You could see in only, while the wave receded and there was just a film of water left on the sand. So this reflection was a very temporary sort of beach art, being present and being lost ever so many times. ... a bottle full of wishes… just until I find my very own lamp in the sand. The watermark is only present for on screen viewing.

Glad I took this shot before all the guitars were picked up and played through out the evening at a friends wedding reception.
An extension of Poppy’s Lagoon at Temma on Tasmanias’ Western NW Coast. / For long periods of time the lagoons & ponds in this area are sometimes seemingly permanent, sometimes transient. And this rotation doesn’t always seem to strictly follow the weather. / This year there are 2 families of ducks being raised here amongst the paperbarks & reeds as well as numerous other water birds making it home. / In other years wallabies and wombats feed here on grassy depressions. Nikon D90 / Sigma 10-20mm lens
