  • Telstra Rally Australia. / These images are between 2004 and the last event in 2006. From 1988 up until 2006 inclusive, this round of the World Rally Championships was conducted in Western Australia. This extraordinary successful event was, in the main, organised and run by some 2000 volunteer officials. Right to the end these officials received world acclaim for innovation, safety and professionalism and were presented with numerous awards including, on three occasions, the prestigious “Rally of the Year”. This calender is dedicated to those very hard working officials without whom the event would not have occurred let alone this calender. I am proud to have been a part of that team. The cover shows: / (clockwise from top left) / Satisfied spectators, Ford Driver Mikko Hirvenon, Finland; Citroen Driver Sebastion Loeb, France; Subaru Driver Chris Atkinson, Australia; Ford Driver Marcus Gronholm, Finland, a happy Miss Rally Australia Winner and Subaru Driver Petter Solberg, Norway. The purchase price quoted is in Australian Dollars. For those purchasing from within Australia the postage cost will be around Aus$6.00. Overseas postage MAY be more. Note also that due to online ordering calendars will be a very limited edition. If you have trouble purchasing online please contact me on hawk023@gmail.com

  • This shot was taken just after #1. Driver Dean Herridge and Co-Driver Chris Murphy competing in the World Rally Championship round of Rally Australia for the Subaru Dealers of Western Australia/ Maximum Team. The vehicle slid in the mud, understeered (Not able to change direction) and headed straight for me. Fortunately all I got was the shot and myself and the camera covered in mud as the driver was able to keep the vehicle from sliding up the embankment and into me lol. phew!

  • The recreation of the Schonbrunn Palace inside the Telstra Dome, Melbourne Australia for the Andre Rieu World Stadium Concerts. The concerts were held over three nights and seated in excess of 30,000 people per concert. It was quite a spectacle with the castle, the 60 piece orchestra, dancers, skaters, four large screen showing close ups of what was happening on stage, two fountains with waterspouts keeping time to the wide variety of music, and a horse drawn carriage doing a circuit of the stadium.

  • Emperor Nasi Goreng, surrounded by rabbits. The Great Wall of China apparently hasn’t worked! (Reference to the infamous Telstra ad).
