I am constantly searching for the SPIRIT of trees and forests and have found that I am drawn to the mystical in my subjects. They speak to me and challenge me to hear their stories and capture the ethereal rather than the absolute concrete. Using my camera as a brush on the forest palette of greens, browns, reds, ambers, yellows, grays, blues and purples I create my images in camera capturing a moment in time when I have stopped to listen and share the sylvan secrets offered to me. Here a group of pines, planted in rows along a country road offers up their story, through a visual whisper. I was at an old church to shoot a christening and decided to run up to the balcony for a better view and there was this little girl ! I stopped at the doorway and shot this with my 200 prime lens. It turned out to be my fav shot of the day. I later found her family after asking around and sent them a copy of the painitng in exchange for permssion to use the image as I please. / This was painted in Photoshop CS2
I know its rather simple and more cartoon-ish than anything I have previously done, i think it’s pretty damn cute haha.

Colored portrait of little boy talking to a frog He’s about two years old / Cocquille paper ..stiple surface and I use it for all my work…strong enough for watercolor or color pencils and that is what I used here…I use water when I need it and spray it with a fine mist to bring out more color…and use a hairdryer. / This was a commission / Featured in / Childhood / Fabulous Froggies / Pencil Drawing / Placed in top 10 Challenge (Froggies)
TAROT SERIES Original Available A4- £70 + P&P Finally I’ve made a start on my Tarot Project / I would like to do the full deck but will be starting with / the Major Arcana (this will probably take me some years / to complete, but you have got to start somewhere) I am deciding whether to do an all female tarot, whether this would work for divination purposes. As we all have male and female energies, I’m hoping to tap into this concept. / On completion, I will decide whether to add colour to the deck, again an important feature in representing energies and elements. I also need to think of a name for the Deck. / (Any feedback on these 3 ideas is most welcomed) Each piece will be an artwork in its own right (with its art and tarot title). When the deck is complete, I will add borderings to make them into the cards. My Inspirations will be Beauty, Nature, Modern Subculture meets Ancient Culture, My Dreams and Visions, The Devine Feminine / Hope you enjoy xx The Empress represents Motherhood and fertility, represented by the roses on her skirt and the soft invite of her petticoats. The crescent moon of her belt buckle represents, the waxing and waning of the moon and its links to fertility (the cycle of life). The cats are the children in this piece, in need of love, care and attention, but ultimately their own spirits and independant beings. The Empress has physical and spirtitual security, you can tell by her confident gaze she is mature and knowing. Loving and generous, she wears her heart on her sleeve and has one foot firmly in earthy matters and her spirit flying with Angels I want to thank my good friend Paul for picking up on the Crescent Moon Belt Buckle, something I was unaware of, that emerged from the subconscious and makes so much sense in the piece. / Paul’s Gallery-Gottheshot / Thank YOU xx Pen and Ink on Cartridge Paper FEATURED IN ALL THINGS BLACK & THE DEVINE FEMININE JULY 2009 (with thanks x) / FEATURED IN REAL MEN WEAR TIGHTS AUGUST 2009 / FEATURED IN PAINTED LADIES AUGUST 2009
