  • ENJOY THE SHOW!!!

  • The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience I have also written a photographers guide if you are interested in knowing more about this site

  • As is. He was so interested in his paw that he let me get close…...my Sweetie!! Cats are cats not dogs or very furry people. They’re true to themselves and their world view. I respect and love them for this surety of purpose, even though their “catness” confounds and frustrates me sometimes. This particular cat, my Sweetie, is the absolute cat-est cat I ever met! / Canon Powershot IS 2S

  • Cheesier version …

  • I can’t believe there is less than 250 Sumatran Tigers in the wild today, and at least 2-5 a DAY are being killed for skins and alternitive medicines. It sadens me a great deal to know this… For every framed print I sell of the 3 tiger photos I upload to RedBubble, I will donate $5-$15 depending on frame size to the Wildlife Warriors – Tiger fund. This will help save the magestic animals from poachers in their native habitat. We have to help these tigers, because they can’t help themselves.. It’s up to us! Canon 50D 300mm, Australia Zoo. Butterfly carefully added, no I’m not that lucky!! :) Nominated to Pay it Forward by Susanne Correa here is what she said about it: “I would like to pay it forward to Adam Gormley / I love his work, he is very talented and most importantly he cares about the wildlife and tries to help. I picked this Image because I love the Butterfly on his nose and how real it looked.” Thanks very much Susanne, much appreciated!!

  • It’s A Wind Up! / You’ve seen those comedy chattering teeth, now here’s the Daddy! Process: / The tee: /

  • An alternative valentine maybe? I have no idea what motivated me to do this, but the discovery of a broken set of my late grandad’s dentures in his shed certainly isn’t something that happens to me every day and I wanted to make a memory of the moment :)

  • This cute creature is a Viscacha. A bit like a big rabbit with a long tail, they live amongst the rocks in high altitude regions of Peru, Bolivia and Chile. He/She (not sure which) is a Mountain Viscacha, a member of the Rodent family. This one is a wild animal, free to do as it pleases, but he’s quite happy living amongst the rocks around the Conaf Ranger Station at the Salar de Surire National Monument in far northern Chile. / This is a very remote part of the world and very few people would pass this way, so I think the Viscacha have learned to tolerate the human intrusion. / They’re diurnal, but their diet consists of grass, not very nutritious grass, so they spend most of their time asleep. When I found him he was asleep. I had him framed in the camera, thinking that he has to move eventually. And he did. He stretched out his tiny arms and yawned and then promptly fell back to sleep. / It was all over in a second and I had just enough time for one shot. Canon 5D Mark II / An old 100-300mm Canon lens at 300mm / ISO 250 / 1/500 second at f/5.6 / Handheld / Captured in Raw / I’ve introduced some vignetting around the edges and applied a curve in Photoshop CS4 but otherwise the image is as taken.
