This was done as a small “in between” thing while taking breaks from revision. My friend Coolness Bears (who has an account here but doesn’t actually make any art =P ) suggested I draw a teddybear on a balloon. So here it is! / As always, if any tweaks are needed, let me know! Kind of reminds me of my Freedom drawing (girl on a balloon), which I hadn’t thought about at first. Done from scratch in Illustrator. Small design available here. /

Drawn 2009. Age 22. The boy sat in the dark isolation with an aching heart… He was overwhelmed by the psychological agony that was pushing him towards despair, towards desolation. He tried to stay awake to avoid tomorrow, desperately fighting sleep, but like the inevitable wash of the natural tide or the brilliant glow of the rising sun, slowly his struggle to stay awake ceased as his eyes were overcome by tiredness… - Drawn on white smooth bristol board. 2H, 3B pencil, black biro pen, water colours and digital paint.

/ A long, long time ago somebody here at Redbubble asked me if I would shoot a still life with a Teddy bear. Of course I couldn’t say no to such a fine and kind lady. She did, however, have to develop a great deal of patience. :) Here we are, a couple of months after the request. This rather low key still life is part of my Nostalgia series. As usually created using my painted with light technique , my trusty Pentax K10D, and my even more trusty (and a lot older) Pentax-A 50mm 1:1.7 lens. more work / the calendar / Looks great as card /
