Ok, I think I’ve been listen to too much traditional ‘80s heavy metal like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Grave Digger and others… So I felt like making a quick poem/insult/tribute to the masters of those old awesome songs: We go tech! Jump, jump / 34+71 / Solve, solve / It’s 105 Uh oh, this is the dominion, / Of the arithmetical beast, / Better get out of here, / Before it shows its fist. Told you to move, mate, / This isn’t the right place, / X, Y and Z, what a mistake, / Zero is your bet! Yeah! / Pure mathematical corruption? / No! / Are these numbers real? Yes! / I will tell you something, / Get away! Get away! / Kick the numerical madness… Before it gets too late! Uhhhhhhhhhhh (here goes the solo =P) (more solo) KILL! / The numerical madness! / HIT! / The infamous beast! / WIN! / The pythagorical lands! / FIGHT / The geometrical sickness! Into this wicked dream of numbers and signs… We go tech! / We go tech! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (second solo) We go tech! / We go tech! (BIG, HUGE explosion at the end!) End? Maybe, maybe not, who knows?

One of the more hidden features of today’s release was the URL to your portfolio has changed. Rather than /people/xshay/portfolio, you now have /people/xshay/art and /people/xshay/clothing. This may impact those who have linked to tags from their bio/work descriptions (like my friend snow), or who have linked directly into their portfolio from an external site. We’ve made a best guess to redirect the old URLs to the new ones, but it’s not always possible, so please double check your links and if possible update them. Also note that the show work URLs have changed from /works/show/7469 to /people/xshay/art/7469-tanzanian-battle-panda. This shouldn’t break anything … the old urls silently redirect to the new ones. In other news, I can’t reorder my portfolio because I only have one work :( (If this post doesn’t make sense do you then you have nothing worry about…)

As of this morning’s release I had to change the URIs in all of the portfolio feeds. This isn’t such a good thing, and you may see some strange behaviour in your reader. As consolation, you can now get a comments feed on each work page, which I think is pretty handy. FAKE EDIT: OMG BLACK TEES

It’s been noticed that many people have posted lovely things, or interesting writings, lately. For some reason, I have no links to any of them.. What shows is the link to the person’s profile, that they uploaded something (with the name). It’s just that the name no longer is linked to anything at all. This is fairly recent, and I have written to Red Bubble support about it. So, if I don’t answer you, or comment, or etc. that is why.

Today, I was looking at a lovely calendar, of mostly poppies, and I saw a piece on there which I had not seen as having been posted. This was odd, as the artist whose calendar it was is someone whom I always, or almost always, make time to view every single last little piece of. I know I may have missed one or two, on days when my my daughter had to be taken to the hospital for a kidney infection and I was baby-watching and such. But, mostly, even then, I was right there with her work , because she does wonderful things. So, I tell her that I seemed to have missed one and am off to look for it. Then, I go to look for it and discover that I didn’t miss one, after all. Oh no! Not one! More like a bajillion six! Well, definitely over 30, anyway. Not all at the same time. I do get links from her every so often and I had been wondering, for weeks now, why it was she was posting so much less than usual. Apparently, I get one link for every 15 pictures or so, at times. Weird!

So, my CD player disappeared, completely. This was after I uninstalled some things, so, I thought – appaently, foolishly- that I had uninstalled the wrong thing or more. I did a System Restore and all was well. My ‘D’ Drive was back and I went off to do my work, secure in the knowledge that I’d be saving my art to disk, again, in no time. Ah, but, not so! For when I went to do so, I found that the ‘D’ Drive had gone off for holiday, again. This time, though i had uninstalled some things, I was quite sure that I hadn’t uninstalled anything that could remotely relate to that particular function. I mentioned it to Dad and he told me that this is something WIndows Vista is known for, and it’s why he switched to Linux. Fine and dandy for him, but, I don’t have spare OS files of every sort just laying about waiting for me to use! I went to look up the problem and how to fix it. Now, there was someone who said there is a Registry Fix, and they gave it, saying that all you had to do was import it and all would be well. Oh goody! Import it where and how, though? That was the mystery! I went to Microsoft and they told me how to fix my problem on Windows XP. Err. .. Eventually, they told me how to fix it on Windows Vista, as well. So, I went to regedit and did all the appropriate things. Found out I had to log on to a different account, even though the Administrator had used their password to give me permission to change things about. I know! I was there! In more than one capacity! So, I logged on and found my way back to the proper place. I even remembered to save a copy of the instructions in a place where I could find it, to make sure it was the proper place, and the URL, too. You would have been so proud! Then I did all the proper things, and I know, because I opened the file to check! Finally, I restarted the computer (technically, one of the proper things to do), logged in again, and … I had two ‘D’ Drives showing. No, I am not kidding! That issue resolved itself, after a wee while, though. Now, however, my volume control is gone! Fortunately, I had it set to a sound level where music and such can be heard, but, where it is not painful to the tired-headed among us. I would like my volume control back, though. Anyone seen it? It’s light gray, usually, and slides up and down in the middle! .................................................................................. Update: One reboot = no volume bar; 2 reboots = volume bar!

(sigh) I put links on several photos that go in a series. While putting them, I got weird messages as to how Red Bubble could not find 3 or 4 or the photos (but, only after I had clicked ‘save changes’ on them); and, my browser siad that Red Bubble was attempting a cross-site link or transfer, whatever that is! TECH SUPPORT! DO YOU HAVE AN ANSWER? And, then, I went back to look at the other things, and noticed that none of the links are working. Now, I checked to make sure the format was right. I even re-sized the font so that I could make sure there was no space where there shouldn’t be one. So, I’ve zero clue why the links are not working, but, working is precisely what they are not doing. Perhaps, they, too, are waiting for their cross site transfer. Also, Lost FM is not playing right and that seems to be related to whether I have Red Bubble open or not; though, I can’t be sure. All in all, this has not been the best of Bubble experiences, today.

for those who care? lol sorry I’m just bored :P / Well all but the girl shirts, still working on a new female model template to replace the old ones =] Here’s some examples: Kamikaze punk V.1 / revenge is tweet Ride the base wave: Ultimate edition / This is also my entry for the Music machines challenge CCCP Army / War Sticky bomb Gas mask Ride the bass wave: special edition these 7 so far for a sample t-shirt display, but I think it’s better looking than my last style, fair bit of vector work and playing around to get this final result, each with their own colour coded background to match the design colours, kind of a tech honeycomb style, with a fully new vectored shirt/model with subtle highlights, but I think it’s a good step in a more unique direction =], I will be slowly updating my older t-shirt sample displays too, maybe not all but my favorites at least, any feedback welcome Jay / R-evolutionGFX

Follow these steps and you’ll be rid of the program doing a manual removal. / Sometimes you will need to do this to ensure a fresh copy is installed without gliches. / ............................................................ This article explains how to manually remove an item from the Currently installed programs list in the Add or Remove Programs tool if the item is still displayed after you initially try to remove it. / ............................................................ / The Currently installed programs list in the Add or Remove Programs tool lists all of the Windows-compatible programs that have an uninstall program or feature. Occasionally, a program may not be removed completely, and the registry key that is used to display the program in the Currently installed programs list remains. In this situation, you may need to manually remove the program from the Currently installed programs list in Add or Remove Programs. To do this, follow these steps. #Important / This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Each key listed under Uninstall in the left pane of Registry Editor represents a program that is displayed in the Currently installed programs list of the *Add or Remove Programs tool. To determine which program that each key represents, click the key, and then view the following values in the details pane on the right: / DisplayName: The value data for the DisplayName key is the name that is listed in Add or Remove Programs. and UninstallString: The value data for the UninstallString key is the program that is used to uninstall the program. / After you identify the registry key that represents the program that you removed but which is still displayed in the Currently installed programs list of Add or Remove Programs, right-click the key in the left pane of the Registry Editor window, and then click Delete. In case you have the same issue you can download it here / tbb.dll I always recommend burning all your programs and other downloads to a DVD as they hold far more files than an ordinary CD.R . Often antivirus programs detect this file and assume it is a trojan or other virus and yes often the name has been given to such virus’s, but the Antivirus software is just as good as the operator, so always be sure to do a backup of your system and/or do a review of the files before you hit the delete key.. as some may not be virus’s at all but necessary operators for your software programs.. which could result in you having to do a fresh copy losing much of your already installed plugins etc.. grr so frustrating! So burn a copy of this and your plugins etc to disc, that way if you need it in future you will always have instant access.. learnt that the hard way.. ;) Once you download the tbb.dll file save a copy of it to the main program ie: if the program is Photoshop you will save it to the following / C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3 / run the program and wallah all fixed! / cheers Kaz / x
