A service dog is a type of assistance dog, specifically trained to help people who have disabilities other than visual or hearing impairment. Examples include psychiatric service dogs, mobility assistance dogs, and seizure response or medical response dogs. Service dogs are sometimes trained and bred by private organizations. In other cases, a disabled handler may train their own dog with or without the aid of a private dog trainer.

The classroom attempts to provide a safe space where learning can take place uninterrupted by other distractions.

There were quite a few books and booklets like this lying all over the place. Again, I wonder why all this stuff was left behind. Surely, at the very least, it should have been burnt, taken to a dump or sent for recycling- why leave it?

I think this book is quite old, it certainly looks old and has a kind of ‘old timey’ title. Judging by where I found it (outside), it was probably thrown out of one of the broken 1st floor windows.

My eldest son was just three months old when I used to take his hand in mine, him propped up on my hip, and I would trace his finger around the numbers one to ten on a poster on the wall. I continued from there, teaching him little bits every day. He was so easy to teach, and still is, as he was so keen to learn new things. / He is now ten years old, and has had the top maths mark in his class the past five years. / Education, and learning, are so so important. And it’s easier for both parent and child along the way, if the child starts at a very young age with simple things done on a daily basis.
