This was a beautiful evening in Taupo watching the fisherman work during peak time for trout exiting the nearby river. Amazing skies, still lake and yes the stars are real.

My very first landscape upload here…took this on my way to a weekend gateway with my hubby for our wedding anniversary when we passed thru the dessert road in our car….. I love those storm clouds and how the way the power lines lined up here :-) I also just realized this looks very nice as a card :P

My folks are over from the UK. It’s been 2 years since I last saw them so I thought I’d treat them to a trip to New Zealand, a country they’ve always wanted to visit. And as they’ve done a half decent job on raising me I pushed the boat out and booked a luxury lakeshore apartment at beautiful Lake Taupo. However, the weather on day one wasn’t great; cold with thick cloud and rain all day long. The only saving grace was the dramatic cloud formation come sunset.
