Lovely morning sunrise in Taroona, Tasmania Australia
One of Tasmania’s iconic locations in Mt Field National Park. I reckon nearly everyone who visits Tasmania comes to this spot!
Plenty of cruising going on on Port Phillip Bay. / (with a little bit of work in the background) / Station Pier, Melbourne 8.22am on 23.12.07
I stumbled upon this old water tower next to a train track in a fantastic little place called Bushy Park. Old but strong. Used and forgotten.

One of my favourite mountains… no matter which way you approach it, it has this delightful and yet slightly disconcerting way of popping out at you when you least expect it.

An interesting story to this image as I ventured out into the cave to grab this image. My wife was worried because teh waves would come flowing in but I figured it was ok when a surfer went gliding by me. It seems they use that cave to get access to the better waves on the far sde of the cave.
Have no fear / for when Im alone / ill be better off than I was before I’ve got this light / I’ll be around to grow / who I was before I cannot recall long nights allow me to feel Im falling / I am falling, the lights go out / let me feel Im falling I am falling / safely to the ground I’ll take this soul thats inside me now / like a brand new friend / I’ll forever know I’ve got this light / and the will to show / I will always be better that before long nights allow me to feel I’m falling / I am falling / the lights go out / let me feel I’m falling / I am falling safely to the ground -Eddie Vedder

This is one of my best images I think, that I ever took. / It’s a Tasmanian Currawong taken on my last trip to Cradle Mountain. ( not a crow and not a raven ) / With this intense stare, I thought it good enough to give it another whirl. / I also think that it is very Gothic, as it is kept simple and to the point. / Also, the stare gets into your soul. / Whenever I look at it, I seem to get shivers up the back of my neck…. / Taken with a p&s Panasonic Lumix FZ30. ========================== All profits from the sale of this work will be donated to Wildlife-Appeal. / . Lake Mackintosh is a Hydro Tasmania lake near Tullah in Tasmania’s west. Tullah is a former mining town, An hour’s drive north of Strahan (80 kilometres/50 miles) and ninety minutes south of Burnie (110 kilometres/68 miles). / Like all Hydro Tasmania lakes, Lake Mackintosh is stocked with plump trout. You can launch your boat at a number of boat ramps on the Lake and spend the day fishing, or enjoy a picnic or barbecue on the shore. / Literally surrounded by lakes, Tullah is a haven for boating and fishing enthusiasts. You can enjoy a number of walks in the area, including the challenging bushwalk to the summit of Mt Farrell which is rewarded with stunning views. / And on a ‘Good Day’ the reflections have to be seen to be believed!
I took a shot from this spot 2 years ago after I had being doing photography for about a year, and the shot that i got(which is on my PF) i was never happy with because i couldn’t get everything in the shot that i wanted with the lens I had back then, so the first time I’ve been back since then I had my trusty 10-20mm with me to get the shot i wanted, i was lucky enough to have a load of rain the days leading up to this and the sun was going down and just caught it as it was fading over the falls allowing some nice light in. I wasn’t sure if i liked the portrait style shot more but went with this, might show the other one a bit later.
Many thanks for viewing.

The first line of defence is the offshore reefs. / Then next are these offshore rocky islets to take the oomph out of what is left. / This day the most impressive explosions were from the ones not quite big enough to break on the offshore reef ,and therefore they marched into these rocky outcrops still bearing their full force and power that had driven them across a thousand miles of Southern Ocean. / West Point, Marrawah / NW Tasmania.
