This image was selected in September 2009 as a Featured Work in the group Abstract Macro Urban Art What people around the World are saying about “The Fury“ / “Great abstract. I really like your interpretation” Australia / “You can really see a story. Brilliant” United Kingdom / “Your work is great, but this is on a higher level. Utterly the best.” Canada / “Fabulous!” USA / “This is awesome….Great composition and shot!!!” Australia / “Wow! Fantastic! Amazing the stories that macros can reveal, and I can easily follow yours! Excellent color and shapes!” Quebec, Canada / “What you see in this image is so interesting.” USA Inspired by the recent wildfires in Southern California, in this image I see “fury” in two opponents. One being a massive wilderness fire raging with billows of smoke, ever menacing. The opponent being someone’s bravery making a stand with their own “fury” in an attempt to battle the blaze. In actuality, this abstract photograph is some rusted, aluminum siding splattered with tar that is being used as privacy fencing. Seen and captured in Tucson, Arizona’s Barrio Viejo district by JD Brummer.
