  • Laughing Buddha Sitting On Cloud (Fe) – Digital Photo Design by Norman Reutter

  • The is the first one I did in 2004 when I had my own t-shirt equipment.

  • based upon Goethes color theory, the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, yin-yang dichotomy, the poetry and symbolism of the German Poet Novalis and the forces of light and dark, this became the spiritual embodyment of my major works. within this painting you can see all my thoughts on the world. / of all my works this would be the most dear to me. exerpt from my major works. “Foundation Of Stone, Color Polarity & The Blue Lotus.” “At first there was nothingness until the forces of dark awoke and began creating form. The forces of darkness are calm cool and caring, it brings to us the ability to weigh up all options and consider things carefully. / Into this cool, and slowly forming space, light burst forth full of energy and life. / The light forces bounced around and awoke the sleeping space and allowed it to come alive and to move, to charge forward full of purpose and confidence. / The two forces met and began to meld and repel each other. Push and pull, attack and withdraw, the combination of energy caused the colours to appear from the ensuing chaos. / The colours brought about a cushioning and stabilising balance to the two forces, and allowed different options for the first time. Each colour has different traits that correspond to a great many things, and it is through these colours that we develop who we are and what our personality is like. / The creation of the colours brought stability to the universe and gave space for things to grow. This force of creation and growth became the third force in the universe. / This third element became associated with the symbolism of a blue flower or blue lotus. / The blue flower and the third element give an example of growth in perfect balance, tailor made for each individual. It echoes the different stages of personal awareness. / When we look for inspiration or a higher plane of thought. We should feel what our own blue flower is like and embrace it for then, with inclusion and acknowledgement of all these forces we can become harmonious and closer to true, natural, balance and perfection; Perfection in the world, perfection in the mind and within the soul.” not the best photo of it but it will do, theres no way i can get it into a scanner!

  • Digital treatment of vegetal photography and chinese calligraphy (Tao)

  • This image was taken within a Taoist temple in Brisbane. I liked this image because it represented to me the many doors open on the spiritual path or Way.

  • An image of a Taoist Altar in Brisbane Australia

  • “It’s Alive” Yin Yang

  • This is an early morning, summer silhouette of a Taoist temple in Taiwan. Canon 40D / Sigma 18-50

  • Water Dragon was one of my first shots taken in Taiwan. Many of the local temples have several sculptures of dragons, phoenixes, and other important symbols of the Chinese zodiac depicted on them. The detail and the color are what I love about this. Was shot in the alley near my apartment at the time. Canon D30 / Canon 28-135mm / 100mm / 1/80 at f/4.5 / ISO 200 Post Production in CS2 / Saturation +2 / Contrast +2 / bottom of photo slightly cropped

  • Ming Tees is weeding out some deadwood in designs, and this one was slated to ride the needle on the 86 list. But there was still something about it i kind of liked, so i gave it a facelift instead, so i think i’ll keep it around awhile more. It is much better now. Taoist yin yang symbol of change, surrounded by a flower ring design inspired by Chinese tapestries.

  • OK, another weird one. This design combines symbols i found on a long scroll in a Taoist art text. The central image is the ying and yang symbols conjoined with the seed, or the meditator in the middle, surrounded by the phases of the moon. The pai of dragons were done from an image from the public domain, as it’s way over mingtees’ drafting abilities. The white circle with a dot in the middle is a stylized pearl. No doubt this will require some serious revision, but for now i figured i’d just toss it out there. • Yin Yang ~ The Taoist symbol of balance, harmony, & duality.

  • ´From the Valley´ is a poem-picture inspired by Taoism. The shape of the poem reminds the whole universe and the lines are floating in a neverending lyric space. It is the eternal connection between human being and every entity alive; it is dedicated to the magical and spiritual miracle of the existence and a metaphore of complete and universal embrace.

  • This is a mixed media piece using watercolor, photography and Adobe Photoshop. This woman knows that Autumn is coming but does not resist the Season. For her, it signifies a birthing of who she is. Never content to be stagnant, she flows with the changes externally and within herself as well. She does not fear the future of Winter, but instead fills all her senses with the colorful palette that Fall presents. Choosing to stay in the minute is how she sustains herself. She remains somewhat ghostly in appearance, preferring to quietly watch the approaching season. Yet, she also merges with Autumn, letting leaves float in her hair. In this way, she stays connected to the World around her. To be separate is to be isolated from her soul. She knows that and, in reflection, listens to the leaves rustle. One with Autumn, she smiles and welcomes the transformation.

  • Yin Yang Sun, symbol of balance and duality.
