  (submitted as a self portrait, as it tells a lot about what I respect, like, want, and need) As I just told my sister via email, the movie ‘Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil’ was on, and just as John Cusack came on screen, Dad says “It’s a damn shame none of us owns one of those.” Even though I know he was really talking about the plane that had just landed, in the movie, it tickled my funny bone as it got me to thinking, and mostly what I was thinking is that yes, indeed, it is a shame that none of us own one of those: a man like John Cusak. Or, at least, a man such as he appears to be. What sort of man is that? Well, first off, he is obviously a good actor, and he’s successful. As far as I know, he has never been in a drug, domestic violence, paedophilia, and/or hoooker scandal. He’s easy on the eyes, without being fake looking or feeling the need to augment himself with crazy colors and clothes; and that smacks of self confidence without self conceit. He obviously has some sort of family values, as reflected by the relationship between him and his sister. If you haven’t noticed, she is in more of his movies than not, and they have a great chemistry together. It’s also reflected in the sort of movies he makes and the type of roles he plays most often. All in all, I think he is incredibly sexy in all the right ways. Not in the show off, fun for a night sort of ways. But, in the seeing him 40 years down the road, across the kitchen table, and still being blown away by the twinkle in his eye sort of ways. Although … Anyway, I’m not sure why he isn’t being listed as such things as Sexiest Man Alive because he’s that sexy, enduringly sexy, in a natural, not even trying, sort of way. Actually, in that respect, he reminds me of Sean Connery, who, last I heard was still alive, so I’m not sure why anyone else was voted as Sexiest Man alive to begin with. / But, I digress … So, after I wrote these things to my sister, wherein I had to google him to make sure I was spelling his name right, I clicked on a link that led to a You Tube Video of some chick getting what movie he was in wrong, which led to him giving some political opinions in another video. i haven’t watched the one that led to, him on David Letterman, yet,. Now, I am not a political person, so that he would be on a show giving his political opinions does not impress me.
