There are many dogs that I have rescued / and loved.I have written stories about / Jesse, my first love affair with / an Irish Setter, Willard, my most / perceptive co-therapist and / beloved English Setter, / Anastasia, the Russian princess / that appeared in the form of an / English Setter and my two dachshunds, / Keppy and Ethyl Mertz. / You can read their stories in my portfolio / or bubblesite. This calendar is devoted to my English / Setter, Mikey who worked as a / therapy dog on the Oncology ward of / Children’s Hospital. You can read his / poignant story titled “Dr. Mikey, Therapy / Dog.” His beloved Molly, our red / and white Irish Setter is also / portrayed in this wonderful calendar of / two exceptional canines that have / brought joy and loving companionship / to our lives. Although all my dogs / are my co-therapists, Willard, a / devoted Jungian Analyst offered / me insights about the human condition / that opened my mind to many new / perspectives. He was instrumental / in teaching me about the “waking / dream,” an amazing journey we / shared with one of my patients / that resulted in a book / of art and writing titled, “A Place / Called Nowhere.” I hope to / share the art and writing that / resulted from this powerful / therapeutic process. Dogs can / teach us about life, love and loyalty. / Andy Rooney said, “The average dog / is nicer than the average person.” That / is food for thought!
