Wow .. I was so absolutely thrilled to see this today .. I went to the bank and was later going to the woods to take a few photos ..I looked up because everyone one else is looking up…and there in the city ( not right downtown ) , sitting on a ledge where pigeons usually are on a store is this magnificent bird … Surprized to say the least !! Im so glad I had my camera with me .. I cant believe that hes living in this area .. lots of cars & people ..silly bird .. theres forest woods and a valley not to far from where I was and live .. This is so unreal to see him where I live !!!

Walking up the fields a few days ago accompanied by Jasper and Tigger our elderly cocker spaniel – we spotted what we thought was a person digging in the middle of the next field ! We couldn’t image what they were doing – so went to investigate… On getting nearer we saw a white balloon that had landed in the grass. Tigger was very brave and barked loudly at it, running towards it – that was until it moved in the wind – at which point he retreated very quickly to a safe place behind my legs and growled in defiance from there!!! Jasper on the other hand rushed forward to investigate – he was fascinated by the white object bobbing up and down and was first to get to it’s location. He was so enamoured with his find that he managed to get his tail wrapped up in the string – we almost lost the balloon as he took off with it attached to his behind!!! We discovered tied to the end of a string a message saying that it had been released by a student from a school in Southampton – with a request for the finder to return the label and a prize for the finder and the student whose balloon had travelled the furthest. We ‘Googled’ the postcode of the school and discovered that it had come some 300 miles north in almost a straight southerly line. I have printed the two pictures of the balloon’s finder, Jasper Cat , and posted them back with the label for the children to see – and thought I would share the story of it’s discovery here on Red Bubble too! xxx Tigger the Brave!!! This gorgeous White Tail Deer is taking a chance that the only thing in my hand is a camera. Deer season opened last week and this is an easy and wanted shot for me or a hunter. It’s very rare to get this close, at this time of year, but this young buck was very curious.

Originally I thought this was an albino peacock…But have done some research and come up with this – “The White Peacock is frequently mistaken for an albino, but it is a colour variety of Indian Blue Peacock.” It was a very magestic bird and beautiful to see him fan his tail feathers. Taken in Perth, WA. Taken in Perth WA with a Canon 5D & 100-40mm Canon L Series lens @400mm, 1/320th sec, f5.6 ISO 200. White cat in night
As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Fawn bedding down for the night after a full meal. Many fawns loose their mothers, and when found by us, they are fed till they can fend for themselves, and go back to the wild. They are penned only till they have become comfortable, and know their food source. Which in most cases is only about a week. Then they run wild, and are fed till they wonder off for good, and answer the call of the wild.
A white tail doe has been bringing her twins to the back yard lately. Yesterday (July 2/09) was the first time they stayed for any length of time. They were actually kind enough to let me wander back to the house, get the camera, change lenses and get back outside for a half dozen or so snaps.
