  • Teahupo'o, Tahiti
    by Clark Takashima

    US$3.99–US$91.20

This original acrylic painting is a part of “The Dream Tour Series”. I want to show the beauty of high quality waves at their perfection. This series is made of the surfing locations around the globe-professional surfers tour each year in pursuit of the world championship. Teahupo’o is a notoriously perfect machine like wave with a razor sharp, living reef bottom. My intention was to show how much water is hurled out past its ocean swell and forms a glass ceiling that finally explodes violently around, and hopefully behind the surfer who dares. Please visit www.clarkssurfarthawaii.com for more imagery. Look out for more Dream Tour Series locations in RedBubble as they become available. I have six originals of eleven locations and three scans as of 2-10-08.

  • Polynesia is the birth place of surfing, wave sliding. Still today the islands are the object of every surfers obsession, the power and beauty of the pacific swells.

  • Anticipation
    by Clark Takashima

    US$3.50–US$79.80

This original acrylic painting on canvas was created to depict a surfer intimately caressing the wave face as he is about to get tubed. By touching the face of the wave he feels his way through, controlling his speed and checking his position on the face. The anticipation part is untrue as he only has to wait a second to reap his reward. Somehow, in the tube time seems to be slower than “normal chronological order”. Thus the title to this work. For an experience of tube riding, check out Redbull surfing.com or My eyes won’t dry on Youtube.

    by Robyn Carter

    US$4.32–US$98.80

Reading my book on the beach in Tahiti, I looked up for a moment to drink in the view, and this is what greeted me. Needless to say i rushed to my cabin (2 feet from the beach), grabbled my camera and took lots of images. This was the best by far :)

  • We men like to think of ourselves as pretty cool. like the earth revolves on an axis of us! – not likely! – hehe! But as i look into the communities every where, i see women more so then men, being the ties that bind families, communities. That indwelt spirit of solidarity and preservation for those abouts them, the resolve to sacrifice if need be in order for those around them to not go without! This is not a diss on men, we simply need to grow up, stop being selfish and step to the plate of life, then women wouldn’t be burdened with our short comings! Wahine – Hawaiian and Maori word for women or female, immovable Wahine! Immovable Wahines!

  • Rolling lines of ebbing waters bringing swells from distant lands to curl and fall upon a shore of green and fertile islands enfolded in the rays of a setting sun.

  • A sunset behind the towered buildings of a city casts but shadows and variants of grey and whilst there is life every where, varied textures of greens are to found in the setting sun of the islands, it lifts the smell of flowers and the sound of a breeze though the trees! :)
