This week get yourself acquainted with Tabita / !http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/users/size:135…

This week get yourself acquainted with Tabita / (And here she is in vector form…) / And here’s the strip! / Based on this little bad-ass… Ninja chicken / What happens when good animals go bad? I’m thinking evil zombie demon giraffes (I’ve had my share of freaky nightmares) but basically I think something just breaks in their mind and they turn evil. What’s your favouritest tshirt ever? One summer when I was about 8 I used to wear one of my dad’s t-shirts as a dress. I really loved it because it was so weird – it was red but said “Blue Marine” and even with my non-existing English skills I knew what blue meant and found it hilarious that the t-shirt wasn’t actually blue. Ah, yes, what a joy it was to be a little kid with no sense of anything. Anyway, if I had to pick a favourite t-shirt out of my wardrobe this very minute I wouldn’t be able to decide. It’s quite possible that I’d end up with one of my black H&M tees with some random graphic design on them just because they’re so nice to wear. What do you do when no-one’s looking? Everything else than tidying. Count all my shoes or stick things on my walls or draw random pictures. Or play The Sims 2. It’s my secret obsession, except it’s not so secret. But I don’t do it when people are looking. What are the simple things that tend to be overlooked these days? Things like grammar. We all know it’s there and have been taught how it works and yet some people decide to ignore it completely. When was the last time you cried with laughter? Hmm, possibly when I was on the phone with my best friend and we were talking about eagles. We laughed SO much! And yes, you totally had to be there :P How did you come across the bubble? What made you stick around? I randomly came across a link to someone’s profile when browsing around the Danish forum Tegnebordet.dk I’m a member of and thought “Hey, this looks nice! Why have I never seen it before, I’ve been looking for a place like this for ages!” (referring to the nice t-shirt making and the fact that it was international) so I decided to try it out for a bit, uploaded some work, made a t-shirt and stuff. On my second day I suddenly had three things featured on the homepage and people seemed to be like “Congrats!!” so I figured that maybe it wasn’t just something they did to new people. Also, on here everything seems so much more casual than on other art forums I’ve been on. On other sites I’ve seen people saying “If you don’t have anything constructive to say about my art, then don’t bother” while here you don’t need to say more than “Nice” for it to be a useful comment. I love that. Why does the world need creativity? It would be rather sad if there was no creativity whatsoever. Imagine how dull houses would look if they were all just huge blocks of concrete and how boring life would be without art and music and even interesting food. Clothes would also be boring and tv would be no use as a source of entertainment. Basically, everything would be missing the fun. What do you do better than anyone else in the world? Make lists of everything and anything. Dvds, shoes, things to bring on holiday, things not to bring on holiday, things I need to buy when I move out etc. I do it all the time so that must be the one thing I’m better at than anyone else :P Where’s the best place you’ve ever been? I’ll have to say Scotland because they have my boyfriend and Cadbury chocolate, what more could I possibly want? ;P Although I also loved Greenland’s icebergs and how the sun never set in Spitzbergen. However, it was very cold there, so yeah, Scotland it is. How do you see the next five years? For me as a person? Working, drawing, more drawing and going to uni to study digital art. Oh, yes, and moving country. For the world in general? Better computers. Surely you can’t get much better than those current giant screen macs? Mmmm… Macs Thanks Tabi! See you next week folks! :oD Caanan. my newest project, is a revived project from about 6 yrs ago (or more)... it’s a story called the guinea pig murders. i’ve been having the desire to start drawing comic pages again, but haven’t had the time, energy, or direction with which to draw them =/... on last saturday i was flipping through some old and semi old art of mine, and stumbled across the outline, pg 1 to the story, and the concept designs for the guinea pig murders. i can’t remember what originally led me to this story, but re-finding it sparked my interest anew! some chars (detective bottombee, duchess olivia, and baron hornsby) are revised designs, while other chars (baroness tabitha, dr. lindle, and professor wimbly) are brand new designs… it’s been a while since a project has sparked this kind of interest from me, and am looking forward to some deep diving into the chars, their personas, the loyalties and betrayals, and just the everyday lives of these guinea pigs, and the other furry/hairy critters that inhabit this story… anyhoo, just thought i’d drop a note as to what i’m up to… so i may disappear for a while, or at the least, not drop by here everyday… i will still be uploading the char designs as shirts and prints (regular and flip editions), there is also a rather big holiday coming up next month, so there are those designs i want to do… hope to see everyone on the flip side of the keebler :)))! ... skot

  • detective bottombee: the victim… or the murderer (flip edition)... well? is he the victim… or the murderer? i know i said he was the hero, but maybe i was wrong… or maybe i lied… or maybe detective bottombee is lying…
