I hear the angels weeping. / I see their heads bowed low. / Their wings surround / Those broken-hearted, / So wounded by this FOE! I see the angels huddled / Near a mother, in such pain, / Because the child / She searches for / May ne’er be found again. I hear the brush of angel’s wings, / So near they are to you. / GOD sent them there / To minister for these / Trials you’re going through. by Mary Carter Mizrany
I’ve always loved Margaret Widdemer’s poem, “The Watcher.” I’ve coupled it with an image I took of a steeple of a very old church in Houston, Texas. I hope that those who have suffered the loss of a mother will find comfort in this photo. My mother is still alive and I am grateful for her; I created this image for those whose mothers are no longer with them and who suffer loneliness, especially during the holidays and on birthdays and anniversaries of death.

A baby angel begins to slip down into the clouds as sun rays kiss his little body. This version has the words “Forever an Angel, Forever Loved” added to make it an ideal sympathy card if someone you know has experienced this unspeakable loss. These sorts of cards are not readily available. Deanna has lost several babies to miscarriage. This art is a tribute to all the little angels in our world who left their parents far too soon. Possibly one of my best photos ever. This teddy bear has been keeping my goat, Oreo, company since his other goat friend Dot passed away. But this picture has sparked many people into wondering why the teddy bear is so sad, why he is sitting on a bucket next to a fence. Create your own story! This could be a good “I Miss You” card or “Sympathy” card. Taken at my home in PA. Panasonic Lumix TZ-3
