  • This collection of Urban Landscapes is drawn from a larger body of work called Darkscapes. They are moody evocative invitations into mystery and imagination taken from the ordinary things that make up the fabric of city life. Beauty is all around us if only we take the time to notice it. These discarded flowers retain their loveliness even as they are swept away into the storm water drain. . /

This abandoned chair in the laneway behind my home in Newtown has a real sense of pathos to it. It seems to sum up the derelict and decayed lives behind the facade of vitality and progress that makes the inner city such a wonderful place to live. / . /

Some years back I was short listed for a Sculpture commission at the new Green Square Railway station. I didn’t in the end win the commission but I did get to walk up the tunnels before any trains traveled though the station. This is one of the many photo’s I took. / . /

  • Finally I`ve been out to shoot some “real” nightshots – thanks to the help of a dear friend… This mystery lane is behind where I live and I was trying to shoot it for ages… And I guess I should explain the title a litle bit more. This is a saying we have in German. It means that when dark all things seem similar. It has something to do with you can`t really see who is good and who is bad, who is a night wanderer and who a thief. Shot with my Sony Alpha 350 and a SAL75300 75-300mm telephoto zoom. Focal length: 28mm / Aperture: f5.6 / ISO: 800 /

  • Extreme close up (300mm) of the right eye of Luna Park, Sydney.
