  • This small rock pool is found in Cabbage Tree Bay, along the pathway between Manly and Shelly Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches. The sculpture/statue is known as The Oceanids. This image was a 30 second exposure nearly an hour before sunrise with the pool wall and sculpture lit up by a nearby street light. This image has also won a photo of the week at photographer Steve Parish’s Photograph Australia website.

  • For the past couple of years I am attracted by the sunrise in the morning. This is one of such moments captured. Moisture is in the air Sunrise taken in Sydney. / 2005-03-13 5:18am / Panasonic DMC-LC1 / 1/200 / f/4.8 / ISO 100 © All Rights Reserved :hinting 2007 IR photo of the same view thinking of you / / Please see the rest of my portfolio. /

  • Looking through the bus window on the way home, I see this playful movement of light and dark shades, between leaves and branches. It is a moment to be captured. Real image with no additional painting… The light painted it on my camera’s ccd sensor! I have set the camera on manual zoom, manual speed and aperture, so that the motion can be capture on shutter release. Behind the glass window of a moving bus, I hunt for the right angle of sun and the right tree, and follow throught the target like taking an image of a sport player. All about timing and a bit of luck! Love to see critiques and comments. All welcome. • Shot: Nikon D40X / Format: Raw / Time: 1.29pm / Exposure: 10.000 seconds / F No: 9.0 / Focal Length: 26.0mm / Tripod Used / Uv Filter Used Leura Cascade Falls is in Sydney Australia The Blue Mountains. This is a great walk to go and do! It’s not to hard and you see beautiful things the whole way! How to get there… Commencing from the Leura Cascades Picnic Area make your way to the information board from which you will observe a concrete pathway descending to the left. Follow the pathway as it travels beside the bubbling Leura Cascades creek. You will approach a small footbridge, at this there will be an intersection, you will note a weathered signpost indicating the direction of Leura Cascades, from this point head downhill to the Cascades. As you descend the fern covered stairs (handrails for support) to the Cascades you will hear the sounds of rushing water as the creek picks up speed. At the bottom, the Cascades are best viewed from beneath a rock cave looking back up the Cascades. A brief sidetrack can be made from the Cascades by following the path for a short distance to a lookout directly above the Bridal Veil Falls. Return to the picnic area via the same pathway.
