This was my first RedBubble post and one of my personal faves. / I shot this at Jervis Bay, the day after a cyclone up in Queensland created some amazing sea swell even this far down the coast. The cliffs they were breaking against are 100m high and these were going halfway up so were pretty spectacular I can tell you. The day before they were going all the way up the cliffs and then some but I didn’t realise I had the camera on autofocus and they all came out blurry in the low light – very, very frustrating as I’ve never seen waves like them. Taken with a Canon 30D
I guess this is the image they had in mind when they named the place.
Magnificent Waves, Mother Nature Creates The most Beautiful images … even surferes were in awe at their beauty & by their size. Photograph taken in Playa Del Ray, California.
Polynesia is the birth place of surfing, wave sliding. Still today the islands are the object of every surfers obsession, the power and beauty of the pacific swells.
Taken today (20th January 08) whilst on a cruise around the Tasman Peninsula on the way to Tasman Island. If you want to see the REAL Tasmania I can’t recommend enough experiencing this part of the coastline. Whilst I took this image I was being buffeted by 50knot winds. All part of the experience!

I shot this at G-Land, South-East Java, Indonesia in 1999. This image won me “Best Lifestyle Shot” award, Surfing World Magazine, 2003/04.
Stormy seas smashing against the cliffs along the Coastal Walk in Royal National Park, just south of Sydney. These cliffs are about 50m high so that’s a pretty big wave. Canon 30D / Tv: 0.1sec / Av: f/32 / ISO 100 / FL: 110mm

14 February 2009 ~ Late afternoon ~ Snapper Rocks On Friday a low pressure system formed off Gladstone late on Friday generating a large storm swell along Australia’s East Coast. By Saturday afternoon the swell had risen to a rather decent size making the paddle out rather precarious! (Canon 40D, 500mm handheld, touch of contrast, minor crop, no photoshop)
