This lovely blue-eyed cat is called Sweetie Pie, she lives next door to me, but every time I open up my window to take some photos of birds on my feeders, she is down under the feeders looking straight up….I just thought she was so pretty so I shot a photo of her today, as well as the birds at my feeders. She just likes to ‘watch.’ ;-) Minimal Photoshopping, just a filter called “Organic Edges.”

As is. He was so interested in his paw that he let me get close…...my Sweetie!! Cats are cats not dogs or very furry people. They’re true to themselves and their world view. I respect and love them for this surety of purpose, even though their “catness” confounds and frustrates me sometimes. Over the next couple of weeks, I thought I’d share some of the reasons I take pictures. This is the first and I’m guessing most of us have it in common. We want to save those moments that mean something to us, speak to us, make us happy. Sweetie’s not a cooperative “model” most of the time, but on this particular sunny morning about a week ago he rolled and twisted and posed in that adorable way that cats do. Later he threw up a little hairball, so I know all the rolling and twisting wasn’t for my benefit. But an image like this is one big reason I take pix. As is / Canon IS 2S / /
