/ Tribal Dancer / from the Beach Series by Karin Taylor / this is a mixed media production on pastel paper this little blonde is a legend…she’s now a tribal dancer who has been initiated and accepted into the Bongil Bongil Tribe and here she does her initiation dance for you…..note her unusual belly button….possibly something that happened during a tribal ritual….whatever the case, she is now a fully fledged member, and dons the special necklace only worn by special guests and new members of the tribe….can you hear the drums!

SHOT OF THE SEARS TOWER IN CHICAGO, WE KNOW IT’S STILL THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE WORLD, WE LIVE HERE. I DON’T EVEN WANT TO HERE ABOUT THOSE RADIO TOWERS IN SINGAPORE. THE ROBOT BOASTS 113 FLOORS, 1729 FEET TALL, AND 4.5 MILLION SQUARE FT. OF USABLE SPACE. NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR SEARS, THOUGH THEY SOLD IT AND MOVED TO THE ‘BURBS. DANIAL BURNHAM SAID OF ARCHITECTURE, “BUILDINGS ARE FROZEN ART”. / NOT ONLY A QUOTE FOR ALL TIMES, BUT A NICE POEM AS WELL.

this started as a wrongly white balanced shot that was “very” blue. I gave it a sepia tone and added texture for this end result. I hope you like it :)
