  • This view is featured in the last scene of the movie “Attonement” A 3 Shot HDR Processed in Photomatix Pro / / Seven Sisters Country Park / Found at the point where the South Downs meets the sea, the Sisters were created when ancient rivers cut valleys into the chalk, creating seven peaks. Haven Brow, the highest of them at 253 feet (77 metres), stands majestically to the west of her other sisters who in order are called Short Brow, Rough Brow, Brass Point, Flagstaff Point, Baily’s Brow and Went Hill Brow. Under the sea at the foot of the cliffs are a number of gullies and ridges – varied marine life such as sea anemones, snails, and sponges can be found there. Now part of the Heritage Coast, an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and also a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’, the beauty of the area will be protected for generations to come The area has a long and interesting history, including some fascinating shipwrecks, which you can discover on a series of shorewalks. SSCP is a great place to explore on foot, by bicycle or by canoe, particularly along the spectacular meanders of the Cuckmere River. As featured in The end scene of the Movie “Attonement” /

This photo was featured in Digital Photography Placed 4th in the Remembering Summer challenge Photo taken September 12, 2009 at the Atlantic Balloon Festival in Sussex, New Brunswick. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen the balloons being inflated and take off, which has really given me a strong need to take a ride in one. Of the 11 balloons that went up, this one drifted directly above where we were parked, making for one heck of a shot! Post-processing done to remove grain, improve colour, and enhance cloud cover.

  • We walked past these two gentlemen as they were passing in the opposite direction, I heard them say something along the lines of “they don’t know what’s happened”, I made nothing of it. My friends and I were laughing amongst ourselves about something or other, it was only when we reached the top of next cliff that we saw the helicopter ambulance and climbers abseiling down the cliff.. I looked back and snapped this shot as they passed over the hill behind us. Photo was taken from Beachy Head looking back towards Birling Gap, Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK. • A 3 shot HDR processed in Photomatix Pro with circular PS filter used Birling Gap is four kilometres west of Beachy Head, near Eastbourne, East Sussex. This part of the coastline is of national geological interest., and has a high rate of cliff erosion. Coastal erosion has already removed the hotel and some of the row of fishing cottages built in 1878. The Seven Sisters cliffs are nearby !
