A more abstract view of the london eye on the thames river in winter. This is quite an imposing structure for what is essentially a giant ferris wheel.

Seagars café in Oxford, New Zealand is a great place to eat. Jo draws people in from all around and on this day the Christchurch Scooter Club had popped in. These guys really love their Vespas and Lambrettas :) f/5.0 1/640sec

Murrurundi is on the New England Highway, north of Scone and situated on the Peel River. The village has remained old world style with many houses and buildings heritage listed. There is much to see up side streets and across the railway line in this town and this magnificent swinging bridge is located in Murulla Street. This is the third bridge on this site and this particular one was built prior to WW1. One of the former bridges was wide enough to transport the Chief Magistrate’s buggy from the Royal Hotel to the Court House in times of flood. The police station, court house , jail (all built in 1843), lockup keeper’s house (buiit 1860s), and police sargeant’s house (built 1890s) are just across the river on the left past the bridge. /

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Reflections – Cataract Gorge A walk over the Alexandra Suspension Bridge gives you a great overall view of Cataract Gorge. The power of water that has gouged out the Gorge over tens of thousands of years can be seen at its best when the Gorge is in full flood. Yes, she’s in there but not visible from this angle. Even when she was visible, she was in a lower web chamber that was clear of water and impossible to reach without setting off a wet warning. :-) Shot was taken with the Panasonic TZ4 and within 2.5 inches of some of the webbing. I didn’t want to disturb a trip wire I missed and since this was right outside my apartment door, I didn’t want to find out if this spider knew Sacramento enough to find my address for making a mess…
This photo was taken from Fort Lee Historic Park, Fort Lee, NJ. © jc warburton 09, Nikon D90,Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5 – 5.6 VR lens. The GWB, upper level, opened for traffic on Oct. 25th, 1931. The lower level, referred to as “Martha”, LOL, was opened in 1962. It’s a beautiful suspension bridge connecting Washington Heights, Bronx, New York to Fort Lee, New Jersey. There’s a walkway on the north and south side of this suspension bridge and it’s not a walk for the faint of heart. The guard rail comes up just a bit higher than waist level and it’s not solid. I could actually imagine a small child slipping through and falling off this bridge. You can’t take any bridge photos while on the bridge except at the halfway mark. There’s security at both ends, in the middle, and an officer on a bicycle who goes back and forth. The bridge is owned and run by the Port Authority of New York, New Jersey.
