A hardy maple leaves protruding from a fissure in large boulder. These rocks line the harbor pier. Many storms have ripped through this area, but the little plant remains hardy, stedfast and strong.

This tree looks dead, but seems to be surviving in the dry heat of the Fuerteventura “moonscape”.
Large areas of Victoria in the last few years have suffered devastating bush fires, slowly the vegetation is regenerating. Though scorched it does add extra colour to the forest areas

Was listening to my Dad talking about something technical and couldn’t help but notice him unknowingly rub his chest while talking. II was reminded of his heat condition (50 + attackes in the last 8 years if you count the minor ones).. So I drew this up real quick and got his feedback on it (un-colored). He downright loved it, so I’m happy.. Really nice to know he can still laugh at his condition concidering what he’s gone through. Designed mostly to honor my father, I figured it’ll be a nice design for other Heart Acttack survivors as well. But I don’t suggest giving this to a victim of heart -attacks unless you know they have a light side concerning the subject.. It’s difficult to see, but there is a little area of visable skin color that’s to represent the wearer’s skin. So not to leave anyone out., I’ve made two versions. One for Light Skin Folks and one for Dark Skin Folks (above). Copyright © 2008 SEspider Productions. / Al Rights Reserved.

After Hurricane Gustav did its damage to our property, we were astounded to find my little garden/guardian angel (about two feet tall) lying flat on her back under huge oak trees that had toppled like matchsticks during a tornado spawned by the hurricane. The angel’s little hands were pointing heavenward, folded in prayer, and she was completely intact. I call her my angel survivor; for me she is a symbol of the power of faith that helps us through the trials of life. (Photoshop filters applied to photo)
This is Malt Mill Lane in Alcester, Warwickshire, England. This was taken on film and the print scanned to digital.
These are some chicks that traveled as an egg in the mail and got delayed due to the flooding this summer. I expected nothing after the eggs being in the mail for 10 days with the flood delay. I got this cute hen and rooster. The rooster has an extra toe on each foot so I named him 5 toes. The hen is named Survivor as they managed to survive the ordeal in the egg and go ahead and hatch.
The is the famous Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, in landscape. This was shot on film and scanned to digital.
This was taken at Hanson Bay, Kangaroo Island, South Australia. It is a glorious beach. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, in summer.
This aqua blue day was shot in summer on Island Beach, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, Australia. I have added a texture layer to this shot, to make it look more timeless. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera.

This shot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, in Sydney, Australia, was taken on b&w film. The ‘ants’ on the bridge are people doing the bridge climb. I have since scanned to digital and added a layer of texture. The next day, we did the bridge climb, as well.

I’ve drawn your face a thousand times. Are you someone I use to know or someone I use to be? I know I know you, but I can’t recall your name. I’ve drawn you with different skin tones and different colored eyes but always the same lips. You always look off to nowhere. I’ve drawn your hair short, black, long, red, brown, curly and sometimes bald. I’ve stretched your nose just a little but mostly kept it the same. Notebook after notebook your face is sketched with big, wide, sad eyes and a question surely ready to spill from your lips. “When will you figure out who I am?” F. Magdalene Austin
I love the way trees & other natural living things can survive against the most incredible odds. / This tree amongst others on my walk on the weekend showed signs of almost being destroyed by fire, but have managed to survive & thrive. This is on the walk to Hanging Rock in the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia.
