AMERICAN BALD EAGLE (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) Bald Eagles live near large bodies of open water such as lakes, marshes, seacoasts and rivers, where there are plenty of fish to eat and tall trees for nesting and roosting. Bald Eagles have a presence in every U. S. state except Hawaii. Bald Eagles use a specific territory for nesting, winter feeding or a year-round residence. Its natural domain is from Alaska to Baja, California, and from Maine to Florida. Bald Eagles that reside in the northern U. S. and Canada migrate to the warmer southern climates of the U. S. during the winter to obtain easier access to food, especially fish. Some Bald Eagles that reside in the southern U. S. migrate slightly north during the hot summer months. Pet name Liberty Hatched 1996 Distribution: From Alaska and Canada down to Florida. Diet: Mainly fish but also carrion and various mammals. Bald eagles are very sociable and vocal birds. The amorphous blobs moaned softly as they heaved themselves over the wastelands. Grimacing in pain, their jelly bodies distorted like soggy washing twisting helplessly in a relentless cycle. The effort required, as they tried to cross the hellish surface, to reach the floaters, was enormous. They had limited time before the nutrient rich red fruit would sink again, beneath the wasted poisoned surface. The next flowering was too far off, they had to reach them. The beacon, set up aeons ago, still pulsed out its call, searching the heavens for help. Global warming indeed. They had laughed at the notion. Scientists scoffed and politicians were mandated to keep the “train” rolling along. They partied on until… too little, too late and system collapse. The delicate biosphere could not sustain life, in the way it had for millennia, and only the luckiest sentient beings had managed, with a little genetic tinkering, to preserve life. People and jellyfish. Who would have thought it possible? Death would have been preferable, thought Gelatinous, the leader of their little band, as even now he sensed that the floaters had reached their zenith… Wasteland Walkers

My entry for the T-shirt revolution “24hr Challenge: 1 Paragraph” . My entry is based on “ / Max Brooks / the Zombie Survival Guide / Complete Protection from the Living Dead / Page- 241 / APR. 1994 A.D., SANTA MONICA BAY, CALIFORNIA Three Palos Verdes residents, Jim Hwang, Anthony Cho, and Michael Kim, reported to police that they were attacked while fishing in the bay. The three men swore that Hwang had been bottom fishing when his line hooked a large, extremely heavy catch. What broke the surface was a man, naked, partially burned, partially decomposed, and still alive. The man attacked the three / fishermen, grabbing Hwang and attempting to bite him on the neck. Cho pulled his friend back and Kim smashed the creature in the face with an / oar. The attacker sank beneath the surface while the three fishermen headed for shore. All three were immediately subject to drng and alcohol tests by the Palos Verdes Police Department (tests that revealed no traces of either), held overnight for questioning, and released the next morning. The case is still officially “under investigation.” Given the time and place of the attack, it is logical to assume that the creature was one of the original San Pedro outbreak zombies.

i was originally going to call this Savaged but decided to call it Survival because thats what women do, they survive against all odds and this is a tribute to those women who stand tall and proud and make this world a safer place for their sisters and daughters….....this work was influenced by the style of Francis Bacon.. sketched in corel painter and then painted using artists oil brushes textures added….......

I took a shot at these lovely birds / at the side of the road i was looking and staring at them for a while as they waddled around in this small canal, as we were in drought season . huddled together i was enthralled. / so, I watercolored them in Photoscape..

Did you ever visit a place where you completely forget what year it is now? Once we walked through the front gate of the brewery we thought we stepped into 1850s. I would call it The Time Machine of Goulburn city. You walk in and for $5.20 it takes you 150 years back (tastings included). Built in the middle of 19 century it is one of the oldest surviving breweries in Australia. Beautiful place, with a lot of history in it and it is history that can be seen, touched and photographed. And the best part – it is a working brewery where good old traditional ale is still produced. This was a situation where I wished I had a wider lens than my universal Nikon 18-200mm. The window was very close to a wall and it was hard to fill the frame. I managed to find a little square of space on the stairs leading to the 2nd floor and set up my tripod there. Next steps were easy: 3 RAW merged in HDR, then tonemapped and post-processed. From my photoblog at http://www.bouncedphoton.com This print is available with 0% markup.
