Two artists sit on a rocky outcrop waiting for the world, earth, universe to do it’s thing. Magic. Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania, Australia
Silent, yet luminous. Powerful, yet pacific. The Surveyor examines the depths of the microspaces where the energy veils thrive and the strangest and most charismatic energy creatures spark at insane rhythms, following the universal medley. Solid State is not recommended for the microspaces. Light forms are encouraged. This is arguably the most hi-res stuff I’ve done so far, although it doesn’t seem so, each piece took 20 minutes of rendering and I used 1.000.000.000 iterations for three of them. Needlessly to say I surpassed the limits of my new comp. hehe. Still I should’ve used even more iterations to get rid of the annoying “grainy” look. It makes things weirder but… I usually do a bunch of tricks to eliminate it. I’m also leaving to interpretation whether the Surveyor is just using its thrusters or opening fire against something.

Icon #2 Point Ormond I am doing a St Kilda/ Elwood icon series. / I wanted to get the Point Ormond beacon. But when I climbed up there last night I realised the base had recently been encased in concrete and it looks horrible. / So I wandered down to the beach and took a shot of the city from Elwood with the beacon in the top right hand corner. I hope you like it. ICON Series / / / /

This is a water colour /collage work on water colour paper. / It refers to an ancestor of mine-Thomas Turner who came to Western Australia in 1830 and settled with his parents and brothers and sisters in Augusta. / He later left and settled in Victoria —he was an architect and surveyor and lived and worked at Taradale and in WesternVictoria. / The painting shows a number of different locations he lived in and one or the churches he designed (Church of England, Taradale).
The third in my series of portraits to illustrate the ages of men and illustrating youth. All were taken in Xinjiang, Western China. The others are The Youthful Reader and The Farmer“
