Icelands Mentawai Islands (Tim kelley)
Shot at “thunders” in remote indonesia
The southerly is ripping through and we’re settling in for a rainy day. Then all the sudden the sun pops out – illuminating Bondi buildings. Got this quick snap at the right moment with a Canon 1ds MKII and 15mm Fisheye. Love the colours.
This image was nominated to be showcased in Pay it Forward by the very beautiful and very talented Ms Lexie Wardell / Thankyou so much Lexie for your lovely words / “So many to choose from.. there are a lot of great artists here… one of my favorite is tonilouise. All of her work is fantastic in my eyes.. but if I had to nominate just one piece of hers it would be… hmmm.. tough choice.. how about Battered Edges. This piece is on my “to purchase” list. My husband is a surfer and I love the tones she uses and the lone board. Surfers are interesting sort of people.. sometimes they are sort of lone themselves. Anyway.. it is his passion and I love this piece because it reminds me of my husband. All of her work is marvelous though.” I am speechless..You are wonderful xxx
North Avalon on a crisp Autumn morning, had the surfing community impressed… Canon 20D – 300mm
What can I say? I have a thing for shells and water. I just love them.

From a series of surfer shots taken in Inverloch. / I’m considering this for an Australian national portrait exhibition – an Australian with their environment. Please let me know what you think.

My fave, as this was one of my first images that turned out well when first learning how to use HDR. What can i say, I’ve skipped over several hundred images to be able to work on this one, I just love the feel of the water, the colour in the sky, I never expected to get a sunset image at Burleigh, this is lovely. couldn’t get close enough to the young lady to ask her to stand still so she is a little soft, never the less its a nice image. you have my card so contact me on kjwrightphoto@gmail.com and I will add you name to the image Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm nikkor lens.
I went to the beach today. It was hot. I got sun burnt and took this. Mererwether Beach ISO200 / f5.6 / 13sec exposure / lots of sun. I have now discovered that the Canon450D will actually focus with the IR filter attached….imagine that! Comes in bloody handy!
I don’t often do scenery alone – but here’s a piece for you… ;-) Love, Claudia
Black glass magic – I had gone on this shoot with a bad attitude, expecting the sky to be bland and the day to be a waste of time, and therefore I set the camera on large jpg so I wouldn’t waste too much computer space….As it turned out, I’ve managed to drag out some amazing results. This is another straight from the camera image, although I had to take it into PS to straighten the horizon…. Canon 5D Mk II, 16-35mm at 16mm, f/10, 90seconds, ISO 50, Hoya NDX400, Singh Ray 3 stop reverse grad, Lee 0.9 ND grad, tripod, cable release, lots of guessing….I should point out the red sky is enhanced by the Singh Ray filter, which seems to put a colour cast across the ND area when used in conjunction with the Lee filter…. - / SEASCAPES / NEW ZEALAND / PEOPLE
Noosa Main Beach, this is what Noosa is all about :) 3 Frame sunset HDR, one of the frames had this pelican flying overhead, all three had the still surfer. Pelican pasted back over the ghosted figure the HDR created. Noosa Main Beach, Noosa Heads, Queensland. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop.

Located below Makapu’u Point, a portion of land marking Hawaii’s easternmost tip. This is a very popular beach for bodysurfing. Rabbit Island and Flat Island sit just offshore and makes this beach a picturesque beauty.
