Most people don’t die until the last moment; others start twenty years in advance, sometimes more. Those are the unfortunates. Louis Ferdinand Céline (1894-1961)
Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Ride Like the Wind is a card from the Beach Series and Inspired Series by Karin Taylor….. / in the dark of night she escapes suburbia to find the giant swell of the rolling ocean beckoning her from the shoreline…..she notices a makeshift board on the edge, where the waves ebb and flow in a cheeky hello…....bracing herself, she skims the board through the shallows and onto the wave, which picks her up as though it were cradling her in it’s arms, throws her forward and there she stands in all her glory, the moonlight guiding her way to another land, where in the soft glow of the morning light ~ life will be gentler, people kinder and her heart can mend….... The wild surf continuously came up and teased this surfer as he stood on the shore contemplating his decision to venture into huge, storm generated swells and waves at Bells Beach.
Some of the wild surf at Bells Beach and Winki Pop, created as a result of the strong, gale force winds during the previous day.

The constant parade of swells breaking at Bells Beach always thrills a surfer when they arrive and see this view from the carpark. Although on this day, it was only for the ‘brave and daring’ as the surf was the result of a very severe storm the previous day and was very heavy and a bit messy.
On the bay here the wind can get pretty full on, so Altona is a major place for kite surfers to congregate and battle it out against old blowy! It is an amazing sight when there is about 20 or so of them scattered along the shore, jumping and flipping as they scoot across the water! I am desperate to try it, but have not the extra money to give it a go yet…... one day =)
Rather messy, somewhat dangerous surf at Winki Pop, at Bells Beach as a result of strong onshore winds.
Inspired by and for my sister.
