This image of Superman was done with thinned out oils on paper.I was captivated by a promotional painting by Alex Ross who painted and illustrated DC comics best-selling graphic novel ‘Kingdom Come’ set many years after Superman had retired.Set to the tone of ‘Revelations’,its stark,bold and a personal journey for any reader.The painted images by Alex alone is somthing to behold…go google Alex Ross!!!!

I’ve always been a fan of Superman, the powerful simplicity of his story (from Alan Moore’s Whatever Happened to The Man of Tomorrow? : “A perfect man who fell from the sky and did only good”) is only matched by the iconic immortality of his design. This is my variation on the S-shield, using the Arabic letter س “Seen”, which corresponds to the S. This is version two of the design; tried to make it look a bit more 3d and added a white border. Version 2.0 Here I’ve always been a fan of Superman, the powerful simplicity of his story (from Alan Moore’s Whatever Happened to The Man of Tomorrow? : “A perfect man who fell from the sky and did only good”) is only matched by the iconic immortality of his design. This is my variation on the S-shield, using the Arabic letter س “Seen”, which corresponds to the S. [Updated: slightly so by removing the background effects and simplifying the shape.]

Ok, for all of those that wonder what I do, well it’s pretty simple. i work in the field of sporting events, mostly Mountain biking in the summer and Snow sports in the winter. I take care of the “operations/execution” of these events and over the course of the 9 last days, I worked on Crankworx here in Whistler. I usually don’t have time to shot much being that I’m running around but sometimes I take the camera out and shot a little. / Anyhow, this is Andreu doing a superman on one of many jumps/features we had on course. / Cheers
