The silhouette of an eagle taking off in a sunset.
At the end of a long 14 hour game drive, there’s nothing better than standing with a cold beer and watching the sun set over the plains, before heading back to camp for something to eat! / / (Masai Mara – Kenya) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
Ducks in the woods, Hinchingbrooke Park , Cambridgeshire, a really beautiful day , these ducks looked so happy and they seemed to all be chatting to one another..
This is a compilation image of a flock of Canada geese and the sun setting behind the San Juan mountains in southern Colorado.
Skies alight with burning fire / Smouldering with clouds of grey / Flashing yellows, to admire / Blinding light in dancing play / To what power can compare / This awesome sight that we behold / What could make a person stare / And make a story here unfold / A feline, such a stunning beast / Who’s beauty cannot be denied / Such beauty for thine eyes to feast / Of shimmered gold and blackened hide / The leopard proudly takes her stance / They say her spots cannot be changed / And while she makes her perfect dance / To want to would just be deranged / By Julie Langford . Julie Langford whom we all know and love here at RedBubble, approached me when I posted the original Poser excited at doing a collaboration where she would apply a sunset to the image. I accepted, and needless to say the result is stunning as you see before you! But then, Julie asked if I would like her to write some prose to accompany the piece when I posted it, and again I accepted. The poem is also hers, and I must say she has made me proud! We hope you all enjoy this collaboration or as I like to call it a “Coolaboration”! I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all sales proceeds from cards and prints of this beautiful collage to Wildlife Conservation Society / / / / / / / Portfolio Areas / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before she realized she wasn’t interested in tulips. / Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona, with a Canon 20D. After photographing a family of bald eagles with three young ones, for five months from day light to dark, it started to pay off. They started flying and what amazing shots I got. This photo made my day only had three minutes to compose the shot. Can`t wait to show more.
“New Growth New Hope” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © A surreal depicition of two larger trees bending over a smaller one and protecting it whilst silhouetted against the rising of a full moon. “Young one you know how I’m older than thee?” / said the largest of the trees, / “Another is growing smaller than you / and we must tell it the best thing to do” / “I know, I know”, said the younger tree, / “To grow as tall as the moon. Will it be sibling to me?” / ‘Yes it shall, it will grow by and by.” / And the trees stood and watched / the new reach for the sky…....” Author: adgray / See the rest of adgray’s writing inspired by / New Growth New Hope here. I just love painting elephants, and trying to come up with different colour combinations, it’s amazing the colours that one can make, with just four or five tubes of colour This one is painted in Acrylics on canvas and measures 1200×600 mm Although the main elephant occupies nearly half of the canvas, I wanted the direction of the clouds, the earth, and the light, to guide the eye to the smaller elephants, thus giving them just as much importance to the painting.

This was originally a photo I took in Botswana, at the Okavango Delta. It was the same sunset cruise that Resplendency was taken at. This was a bit later in the evening, on the way back to our campsite. Thanks to my new found love of texture layering, I was able to transform this photo completely. Tweaking of colour balance and layering a rusted texture with it has given it a more painted look. All done in Photoshop CS4 To me, it epitomises my need to explore the world and discover as much as I can. ‘Join in black December’s sadness, lie in August’s welcome corn. / Stir the cup that’s ever filling with the blood of all that’s born. / But the May Day is the great day, sung along the old straight track. / And those who ancient lines did ley will heed this song that calls them back. / Pass the word and pass the lady and pass the plate to all who hunger. / And pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the Cup of Crimson Wonder.’ Jethro Tull – Cup of Wonder Featured on Red Bubble Homepage on 25 August 2009
I actually started this painting thinking it would be of wine country. Somewhere along the route to Sonama I took a turn north and ended up in moose country. Go figure. Oil on canvas 15×30
